Did you catch that it was Keith, the former commander, who sabotaged Eren's equipment during their training days?

Di

Lol Eren thought that Marlo did nothing wrong when talking about Hitch because he’s also oblivious of Mikasa’s feelings towards him.

No, Dr. Jaeger wasn't curing people from the plague by turning them into titans like he did to Eren. I do like the commandant's story. How when he saw Eren attempting to become a soldier he was the one who sabotaged his belt to try and prevent him from throwing his life away but in the end, when he saw his determination, couldn't go through with it.

Brother E

Curtis you ain’t ready for this next arc, sheer insanity

I love this episode so much and especially the ending. A mother's love is truly something worth experiencing and for myself I did get to experience it which is likely why that ending hits so hard. Also it is super easy to identify with Keith and wanting to be "special". It ties into Annie as well back in season 1 discussing with Marlo about just wanting normal people who go with the flow to be accepted as well. Now I do feel "competition" is healthy if focused on with the correct mindset. You don't really have to compete with others (unless talking certain circumstances). However you should be competing with yourself constantly, you should compete with who you were one sec, one minute, one hour, one day, ect ago. Always strive to evolve and get better, however just in your own way for who YOU wish to be. I won't rant any longer but just a little insight into why I love this episode and its themes so much.

also Keith may have snapped, but he is absolutely right. and there's no shame in being a normal person. but the issue one faces in being the exception, the imaginative, the one who will achieve greatness or at the very least inspire it is that the latter will be scorned by normal people until they see some form of result that they can directly benefit from. keith is an all time legends in my book since season 1

even tho he's not leading scouts coz it's clearly nt his forte, he's still devoted to create new generations of scouts

Buckle up everyone. Don't cry, don't scream...because we are about to enter dangerous territory soon! Time to explode whatever is left of Curtis' mind ;)

Love that thousand yard stare the crew has sitting at the table, confronting the recruits!

You must have missed it, but back in episode 6 of Season 3, it showed that Eren ate his dad to get his titan powers (which is why he can't be the beast titan) and his dad used the syringe that Rod Reiss had to turn him into a pure titan (dumb) to eat Grisha (a shifter who at that point had both Eren's titan and the founding titan) to revert Eren back into a human who now had the titan powers
