Wow! Reiner is out there! I'm curious if his apparently conflicted loyalties will have a major impact going forward.

Not sure if it's been confirmed, but I've seen a theory or two saying that Reiner is suffering with some form of D.I.D / S.P.D and his brain developed the persona of Reiner the soldier defending the wall in order to cope with the awful things he'd done. Like smashing the inner gate in Wall Maria & feeding Marco to a Titan to get his ODM gear for Annie. When Bertholdt calls him a "warrior" it seems to bring out that side of him again.

Honestly, this is Eren regressing and acting like a brat, while not being entirely wrong, but still taking a very flawed and faulty view on things. He dehumanizes those he considers evil, thinks of them as having no human emotions, and just looks at it all in black-or-white. It was annoying, but I really also appreciate this scene now when, later on, it becomes crucial for his character development. Still, in this instant, I totally agree with Ymir about him.

About Eren and Ymir conversation. Ymir was talking about Monkey, and Eren said, "What's that? A monkey"? It's not because he is curious about monkey, he dont know what monkey even is, they dont have monkeys inside the walls. If that's spoiler in any way, someone tell me, and I'll delete comment.

Also Ymir said about enemy "if I said that, the..." and she started one word in japanese I'll not say what word was that, but if they would translate it on english they would ruin and spoiler the show, I think anime watchers from Japan could know much earlier who the real enemy is.

You’re forgetting that at this point, Eren doesn’t know the things that we do. How else is he supposed to act? Welcome the school shooters with open arms?

Yeah, I didn't buy it for one second when Eren said that he would suppress his emotions in order to gain as much information as possible. He isn't exactly known for being able to control his emotions.

Curtis before we go into Season 3, you should watch the Levi backstory because that information is going to play a vital role for an upcoming arc. So definitely think it’s worth the watch.

Can't say I agree. All the necessary factors will be explained in the 3rd Season, while the additional details from No Regrets aren't really necessary to the story. I think it'd be best if he watched them after finishing the season, so it doesn't interrupt the flow of the story.

A thing about Reiner having a personality split from the guilt, I watched a video that said the reason that doesn’t happen in real life for double agents is because they purposely choose people who psychologically get a thrill from lying to people. It makes sense with how young Reiner and Bertholdt were that they wouldn’t have matured enough to develop those personality traits at the time. They would still be mentally developing. Which would make their actions have a very heavy toll on them emotionally. I find it really interesting.
