Jean's arc culminated in this episode, he's my favorite character of this season. His growth from his introduction is amazing. What do you think of it?

Yea, Jean is definitely one of the more fascinating characters. He is in a constant state of self-reflective upheaval, yet seems to come through it in admirable ways.

I think Jean's point was along the lines of he will do it either way, but Eren really needs to show his worth to prove to everyone their lives will not sacrificed in vain, much like when he was plugging the wall. He knows it can fail but even if its fake assurance from Eren, he needs to put everyone at ease through his actions.

Yeah, plus in response to Curtis's question at the end of the video, it doesn't matter that Levi can kill Titan Eren. That's not the point. Everything is riding on Eren's shoulders right. He's the only reason why they people are joining the survey corps. If he goes out of control and gets killed, that means that everyone's reason for joining, and everyone's hopes goes down the drain. So many deaths for nothing.
