So Mukuro's "spiderweb" attack here was actually only in the anime, not the manga. But, I think it was a great addition and actually represents her philosophy very well. The attack is basically a stronger version of Kuwabara's dimensional sword. She can literally make dimensional slashes with just her fingers. That's insane, any one of those slashes would've seriously hurt Sensui. But, it also shows that technically Mukuro could've torn down the barrier around demon world at any time. Her dimensional slashes would've let her destroy the wall fairly easily. But she didn't because she doesn't care about human world. She's a traditionalist who wants demon world to stay exactly the way it's always been, full of chaotic factions fighting each other and a barrier in place so that only the smartest or most skilled demons could find a way to eat humans.

Anime censors her backstory a lot. She was a sex slave as a kid and enable to escape she poured acid on her so that the slave master wouldn’t like her anymore. That’s why she looks like that. Near the end of the manga (only) there is a cruel thing that happens to her slave master that is satisfying but I’ll wait to tell.

Iirc you said after cowboy you will be doing Death Note which also has a great dub and makes one of the greatest memes in anime in a certain scene.

Really loving these i can't believe it's already gonna be over so soon can you please react to the ova it's less than 30 mins and has 2 stories in it one of which for sure was in the manga and was never animated till the special last year and the other im pretty sure at least had togashi sign off on it or even write it himself

Makuro backstory is the moment she was born they surgically modified her insides so her father would have an easier time "playing" with her. She was a sex slave from age 0 and every year she got a new scar as a birthday present. Finally at age 7 she poured acid over her head praying it would make him lose interest in her. He tossed her out on the street and she cried out with the voice of someone born anew "today my life truly begins." Now that is her backstory, but it isn't truly complete until you know what happens to her father, but I will save that until the last episode since that is when it was supposed to happen.

In hindsight a lot of this arc was koombayah-ish. But I've always thought that the conclusion of this arc (which I'm not gonna spoil) was an interesting way to end a series. That until now had been largely focused on fighting and killing demons.

Well, Hiei is out of the tournament, yet, we will get to see more of him. And I personally like what happens in the last episode. Can't wait for Cowboy Bebop, it's a classic, but if I recall correctly, somebody said you were a fighter in the past, like, I've seen you talk about Major Armstrong's classic boxer fighting style and other hand to hand combats, so, for the distant future, an anime that you might want to look into is Hajime No Ippo.
