Remember yusuke gives people their fair share of beatings but he's at heart a good kid who can only be 15 at most at this point and I have heard the 1st kill is the toughest plus he eventually did it even if genkai reversed it but yeah the doctor definitely deserved it

In defense of not killing the guy, in situations like these there are a few things that one can consider. The doctor did not live with this deranged personality, he was at first a man who got his medical degree who only later developed psychic powers. So, even though he comes off as extremely crazy, we can wonder what happened to him that made him this way. If he went crazy instead of being crazy from the start, then a question Yusuke may have to ask himself is can this person be saved? Is death the only option? There's also the moral question that Yusuke knows God and they've said killing humans is bad, so in a sense it challenges the morality of God as to what is the right thing to do.

The doctor is a pussy but he didn't want to be killed until his team's goal is complete, he wants to see the Demon Realm cross into the living world, if Yusuke kills him now he won't know if all of humanity will be extinct, if the tunnels open he'll at least die getting what he wants.
