Watching Curtis during the last episodes make one wrong prediction after the other, makes me really appreciate how unpredictable this arc is. 😁 First time I watched this I was thinking just like Curtis.

Okay a couple of observations on my part. 1. The NGL was the worst possible country to pick for the Chimera Ants to produce a unified army. The NGL was founded by those who wanted to live apart from modern technological society. That sort of thinking attracts a lot of independently minded people. Also it's run by a Drug Cartel, criminal organizations are typically made up of self-centred people. 2. Gyro's ambition was to cause misery to all of humanity. The D2 drug was but one step of his plan, 80% of the plants necessary to make the drug in the world. Reside in the NGL, so he's basically in control of what amounts to the entire supply of it in the world. Which makes me wonder about the gun production capabilities of the NGL Cartel. For Gyro's ambitions to come to fruition he'd need to reach a production level that rivalled the production of D2. Enough to supply arms to various unhinged dictators, radicals, criminal organizations and terrorist groups. For all we know the Chimera Ants in the Drug Factory may be sitting on the largest stockpile of small arms in the world of Hunter x Hunter. Okay rant over.

My favorite Jajanken scene with Hegemony of the Food Chain soundtrack. I always imagine what it would sound like with surround-sound or watching this at a movie theatre. Still gets me pumped every time.
