This episode was phenomenal! The fight was intense and the emotional resolutions were incredible! I think I'm gonna be enjoying the relationship between Midoriya and Bakugo a lot going forward.

Bakugos VA in this really pulled out what he had for this scene.

Bakugo's VA has always been the best part of the MHA dub to me, I still prefer sub but damn.

The voiceacting and animation is on point. And ive got to say, in the manga Bakugo whiped the floor with Deku.... even more than in the Anime.

is it just me or did the upgrade from 5% to 8% do shit ? i hope in season 4 we see more of his progress. DAMN i cant wait for months ive got to start catching up with the Manga.

Yeah, i am very impressed at how well Clifford Chaplin was able to emulate Nobuhiko Okamoto's performance. Okamoto's performance was heart wrenching and im glad Chaplin was able to do it justice. imo this is one of the best Dub Actor performances in recent years

i am fully caught up and i wish I wasn't. It's amazing what happens next but I'd have rather experienced it first hand in anime form

I remember how Bakugo’s mom said it all happened because he was too weak and got captured... so that was sorta a sore spot for Bakugo back then.

Jake Young

He's watching it subbed. He tries to mix it up per series so everyone can be happy without having to constantly switch between sub and dub for the same series.

You should watch the sub of this episode, you don't need to react to it I just want to know what you think. The voice acting in the sub is out of this world.

Douglas Streck

Great episode, but I still think Bakugo is a piece of shit. He's a bully who thinks he's more than others, the way he treats deku is just absurd...

agreed im not a fan of Bakugo. He's WAY to full of himself and arrogant. Its annoying. He's like an over the to douchebag version of vegeta.

What I really like about the revelations here is that, in a way, Bakugo has always seen himself as an underdog compared to Midoriya. I can't really remember how it's translated in the subbed version, but I love this line from the fan translated version of the manga, "It's as if this whole time... you were looking down at me with disdain, and truly aiming to surpass me because you knew you could!" I don't really know how accurate that translation is, but if it is accurate, the fact that he said "knew" instead of "thought" really shows that Bakugo believes that too. He always thought that Midoriya would surpass him if he got a good Quirk, so when he did, it scared Bakugo. Then it only got worse when he realized the secret behind Midoriya's power. As Bakugo flat out said, he pretty much has a mentality of Midoriya being "the chosen one." All Might met the two of them around the same time but chose Midoriya as his successor, meaning that his idol saw Midoriya as having more potential and even passed on his power to him, reinforcing those ideas of inadequacy. It's pretty interesting that while Midoriya always saw Bakugo as being much better than him, to the point of holding Bakugo as his personal image of victory, Bakugo had always been afraid of Midoriya, knowing full well that Midoriya was capable of surpassing him.

I hated Bakugo from the moment he told Deku to kill himself, but he's been slowly becoming more of a real person and less of a complete shit. I think part of the growth is due to no longer being the most powerful and amazing person around; he was in a class of people who were all amazingly powerful and talented, and Todoroki in particular outclassed him significantly. I hope that his failure of getting a provisional license (for being a giant cunt, no less) causes him to try and be less of a cunt towards the people he saves at the very least.

I hated bakugo alot at first but this season and especially this episode made him one of my favorite students

My god just watched a pretty awesome character analysis about Bakugo which ended up until this episode. I think Curtis would really enjoy “The redemption of Bakugo” by Mother’s Basement which could really help us understand more about him.

Now that deku and bakugo are on the same rivalry level as Goku and vegeta, we need a scene where bakugo shows up to save deku from death. Because there are times when Goku is In danger, but then vegeta shows up saying “The only one allowed to kill Kakarot is me!!”

I mean that kind of already happened during the USJ incident.
