That Spider arc was insanely good!! The Phantom Troupe is right up there with the Akatsuki for legendary groups!... When all was said and done, I had HUGE respect for Pakunoda and how she handled herself, as a fighter and a comrade. Who would have thought that it wouldn't be the awesome cleavage that made her my favorite?! :-)

I guess one thing that makes HxH and FMAB different from most Shonen (boys shows. Its a genre. Basically the Naruto, One Piece, Fairy Tail style but FMA and Hxh Also belong to it) is that higher powerlevels doesnt equal automatic win. In most Shonen of course the main character(s) is guaranteed to survive, but not necessarily win. There are exceptions and those are not very well thought of in general (looking at a certain show). In another series, Scar would never beat Kimblee. Kurapika wouldnt be able to capture the boss. But because circumstances actually play in here, they can. That's nice. Being able to get the drop on people more powerful than you, especially if theyve just been introduced and its nowhere near the ending, is rare. Another thing though this might bw more unique to Hunter x Hunter actually. In nearly every show the main character or anyone really, once a fight/rivalry has started and the main character doesnt win right then and there, its guaranteed they will eventually. Not in Hunter x Hunter (as of yet) Ps. That moment when you realize the only actual fight Naruto lost in the entirety of the series was against Sasuke xD His clumisness and mistakes covered it up quite well, but yeah. He bascially never ever lost a battle.

Greed Island Arc Next. It's good af.

Imaginebreaker7

And most people agree that this is still only the second best arc in the series. So look forward to that arc which will happen after Greed Island.

King Black

God I really don't like Kurapika that's why when I rewatch the series I always skip this arc it makes me sad because I always want the Troupe to win

That arc you're talking about (which I won't say the name cuz it might spoil somethings) is my least favourite arc by the way. idk how but my fav is greed island arc for some reason. It's just too fun

This is why I love this show, Togashi is SO good at making his characters feel human, rather than artificial humans in meat suits, this is especially important for the villains, as shown in this episode the troupe aren't all evil just for the sake of being evil, they feel like they have actual emotions rather than having the bad guy persona all the time, this realization is what makes Paku's death feel so heart wrenching, even though she received minimal development and we're supposed to route against her the fact that she was able to empathize, understand the importance of friendship and can show human emotion makes it hard to do so, another example is how Phinks actually seemed sad about Paku's death when talking to Gon and Kil, something we don't often get to see from the big bads.

Didn't know you liked ZZ Top, haha

astherphoenixxx96

i think paku is a good character, but like all the troupe members, not a good *person*. not someone i would like to come across

Glad this is done, because now I don't have to hear your mispronunciation of 'Kurapika' anymore. You won't see him again, except for one instance where you see him for like 10 seconds. Not looking forward to that.

Waiting for my fav character to show up - BISKY !!!!

Kurapika >>>> sasuke. Also it takes top notch writing to make you feel for characters who have been so despicable through out the arc, but at one tiny moment humanize them... togashi is a god and it only gets better curtis

Lachlan Ferrand

I have to admit I love franklin as a character it is just a shame that he wasnt one of the troop members that heavily focused on cause I think he could have a wicked backstory

Lachlan Ferrand

You can never go to overboard with praise for this series it is amazing I have rewatched it about 5 times and i still get the feels

wait till the chimera ant arc MAN. it takes a dark turn.. the ambient music also is amazing. can't wait to watch your reaction old man :D

SpazBoysComedy

This series is SO goddamn much fun!... When you guys write things like this, it just gets me more hyped! :-)

Phillip Ribbink

Chrollo: I can't use Nen. Hisoka: I have never been so flaccid. I love how they managed to resolve this arc without killing the Big Bad. Because all too often when you have a story like this, it's the easy route to take. Instead they choose a more interesting route that has a lot of potential further down the line.

AceOfSerberit

when you're so moved by the episode you don't even mention the train XD

kevinup

Curtis, don't ever stop yourself from going overboard! We want to see your unfiltered reaction because we can never watch HxH for the first time again, We are living through you on this man!

Anonymous

You ever consider reacting to Overlord Curtis?

SpazBoysComedy

The gang here picks what we watch through polls we set up, My Friend... But I've seen clips of OVERLORD and it most definitely looks REALLY good! :-)

R_K41

I wouldn't put Fmab even close to HxH, it's a fart in the air in comparison. But go ahead jerk yourself off.

The greatness of Hunter X Hunter.

Steven Fechter

A lot of people say kurapikas desire for revenge is what kishimoto based sasukes personality on. However this episode shows why kurapikas story is 100% more engaging than sasukes. At the end of the day kurapika doesnt want to lose anymore friends. He wont throw them away for revenge. It makes no sense because how can you claim to be wanting revenge for your friends if you wont even protect your friends who are alive? These relationships make HxH great. All these characters have their own motivations and they arent there because the plot demands it, its just their desires occasionally clashing. Really good story telling and character development.

You don't understand Sasuke's motive, he never wanted revenge for his friends but for his clan, he was always willing to cut down anything in his way.
