Sloth is cool! I mean, I know he needs to be defeated and all, but I feel like him, Gluttony and I could hang out and have a good time!... In all seriousness, though, these Homunculi are some pretty awesome villains!

I remember the reaction of the first person I saw react to this series. Bit of an SJW type, for lack of a better word. Seemed to see General Armstrong as a revolutionary character because she "Likely would have been written as a man in most series." He also really disliked the implication that Ed was willing to treat an Ishvallan soldier the same as any other, because "Color blind attitudes are racist" ..................... I don't really know why I bring this up. I don't personally dislike the guy, and even enjoyed his analysis of various things. Kinda prefer your reaction, though.

Morgan

Ha, I just made the connection when Sloth kept saying "What a pain" I kept thinking of "What a drag" from Shikamaru lol. Who knows, they might get along!

you like sloth? well....I guess you can since you dont know what He used to look like in the First FMA...if you did youd know what true injustice is....

invo

This is what happens when you combine Shikamaru and Choji.

Leaving a comment is a pain, so annoying.

Have to say Curtis, I randomly clicked on a suggested video of yours which was Vegeta's sacrifice. Since then I watched all your youtube DBZ and Naruto vids and then joined your patreon. I have never enjoyed seeing someone enjoy these anime the same way I have, with you in such a natural and visceral way than you have. Its been so fun to join you on your journey into anime and I cannot wait to follow you further. You're such a genuine guy and I love watching your reactions to all the little twists and turns and seeing who you like and who you dislike. Long may it continue!

Oh you'll love a certain upcoming fight between Sloth and another character :D. But it'll be a while before it :/

I see a lot of Patton in General Armstrong, from her command style, blood and guts attitude to her acceptance of troops regardless of race or creed. "I don't care what colour you are as long as you go up there and kill those Drachman sons of bitches!"

Yeah, Sloth is kinda like Gluttony in that he seems pretty "innocent" minded like a child compared to the other Homunculi. Gluttony just wants any opportunity to eat stuff, Sloth just wants to rest but is basically a slave. I don't think they care so much about Father's ambitions like the others do.

He is an insperation to us all.

I don't think you understand what the original FMA show was. It was the show creators catching up with the Manga author by the time they got to meeting Izumi Curtis (episode 13 in Brotherhood) and just making up a totally independent story based on the same characters. Basically high budget fanfiction. So no, Sloth's portrayal in this is not an injustice any more that Sloth's portrayal in 2003 was. It's not even the same character. They just happen to have the same name.

I don't know, Ed. Setting Slut, I mean Lust, on fire worked pretty darn well. And oil can burn for a long time. I don't see why it wouldn't kill Sloth.

Sheriff Uchiha

I think it's because Sloth and Gluttony are the most innocent of the 7 "deadly sins". I mean all children commit Sloth and Gluttony without malice.

Mustangs anger fueled flame alchemy is immensely more powerful then just some ordinary fire. Plus is was continuous blasts.

Oil fire is also immensely more powerful than ordinary fire.
