Convicts and family sideplots? All great signs of happy happy fun times ahead! Reminder, Jeju Island was a raid that took place at the start of the first episode. It was an utter failure. The raid was a dungeon break, 7 days passed since the gate's opening, and I'm sure you can guess the rank since multiple S rank hunters participated and they still failed. Fireboy and Beastman were lamenting it. Thing is though this was never in the manhwa. We didn't see pretty much any of these side character scenes, just Jinwoo for the most part and they changed around minor things too. The anime isn't worse off for it, but I'm wondering where they're going with it in the future cause there are future deviations.
