the world of Oto being a VR game is a good twist, you don't see coming, but it makes perfect sense in retrospect given how it works. we're introduced to another Clamp crossover character this episode as well, Chitose, the black haired woman we just met who created Oto is a character from the Clamp series Chobits, kind of fitting given in this story arc it's about an artificial world, and Chobits is a romance series between humans and androids (who are obviously artificial people), I would like to see Chobits sponsored one day, but it's a bit unlikely unfortunately.

Ah yes, the Sword Art Online arc of Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle. Granted, this predates SAO by several years. Oh, if only Edonis had those home VR headsets, everyone wouldn't have to go to an amusement park to play a VR game.
