Hello everyone.

Today I would like to update you on the latest progress of Shoost.

Finally, we are developing the "Add Layer" feature that everyone has been asking for! The major tidying up of the layer system section during the last update was also in preparation for adding layers.

At this point, the layer addition itself is already implemented. However, there are still many things that need to be done.

Moving and deleting layers, adding UI, saving and loading data, and so on. I have a feeling that especially the data saving part will be difficult in many ways...

The additional layer should allow multiple scrolling.

By the way, additional layers will not be unlimited, but will be limited to some extent. We believe that unlimited additional layers would consume a lot of memory and GPU power.

Also, although not directly related to Shoost, I have recently been studying and prototyping regarding lighting expression and control.

This is the live music lighting I introduced in my last article. I tried to make it possible to switch between them by keyboard operation. By developing this stage and system, I think it would be interesting to have my character appear and perform in a space like a live music stage in the future. The idea of creating a lighting atmosphere will be useful for Shoost in the future.

It will be some time before the next update of Shoost, but we will do our best to develop it, so please look forward to future Shoosts!

Can you please make an option to output videos with a transparent webm or mov background?

MuRo

Thanks for the feedbag. I'll see if I can figure out a way.

Would it be possible to add a video input feature? I use VSeeFace and my model doesn't appear on Shoost with a transparent background, even with the chroma key

Does the app auto update or would I have to manually update the app?

MuRo

If you are using VSeeFace, you can use the Spout function to Capture with a transparent background.

MuRo

Due to its development stage, there are no auto updates. You will have to update it manually.
