Hello everyone.

Shoost v0.10.0 is finally taking shape and we are happy to share our progress with you.

In this update, we have restructured the system to allow layer-by-layer adjustments. In order to expand the expressiveness of Shoost, the ability to make layer-by-layer adjustments was essential. So we spent a lot of time recently rebuilding the system. It was quite difficult and time-consuming to rebuild the system while maintaining the existing system. Now that the system is finally taking shape, we can introduce the functionality.

- Blur can now be applied to any layer.

Previously, blur could only be applied to the background, but now blur can be applied to any layer.

- Allows color adjustment on a layer-by-layer basis.

Allows adjustment of brightness, saturation, and contrast.

- Blend mode is added.

Since it is difficult to add a large number of modes at this stage, we will first provide three types: multiply, add, and screen.

We are also working on reducing the processing load.

It will take some time to adjust the UI and debugging work to support these features, but we are working hard to have the update ready by the end of next month. Now that we can add effects by layer, it should be easier to create new features. We have a few ideas in mind, so stay tuned for future developments!

I hope you continue to enjoy Shoost!

Would it be possible in the future to reduce capture delay? I know sometimes some vtubers use Shoost for their streams and there’s sometimes a delay with the capture.

I wonder if we'll have the ability to have multiple layers soon, as well as have layers that capture footage from a link or program, similar to a browser source! That way, we can include the camera feed from our friends and chroma key them into shoost!

MuRo

Sorry. The capture function is inevitably GPU-dependent, so the only way to deal with this is to increase your machine power. Otherwise, please try to reduce the processing load by lowering the resolution or FPS.

I see. I'll try to see if there's a better way. Thanks for the feedbag!

Thank you for your hard work! I'm super excited for the layer by layer controls! Though, I was wondering if a transparent background output through a virtual webcam would ever be possible? I'd love to be able to use shoost in OBS with games! I can't wait to try the new version when it comes out!

I was thinking the exact same! I freaking adore the way my model looks with the diffusion mode but wish there was a way to use it in a way that only effects the model, and not the background. I've found that it can often make games look a bit funky since it blends the colors a bit.
