Subscription Billing Coming December 1st! Please Read for Tier Reward Changes! (Patreon)

As I mentioned in my monthly update, as of December 1st, I'll be switching over to what Patreon calls "Subscription Billing," or what I've called cyclical billing, so a couple of things will be adjusted in the tier rewards to reflect the change. None of the content is changing, just some of the scheduling is shifting around, and a couple of the little extras won't work with the new system. I've carefully weighed everything out and I think this new way of doing things will be way better for you all, my lovely Patrons. 

"Subscription Billing" basically means that going forward new Patrons will be charged when they join and then monthly on the same date every month. For example, if someone joins on the 15th, they will be billed every month on the 15th. This will be effective for all NEW Patrons starting December 1st. More details below. 

This is a huge step forward for Patreon, as they've always had a billing system based on calendar month, so when a Patron would join, they would be charged on the date they joined and then again on the first of the following calendar month, regardless of when they joined. So if someone joined on the 20th of the month, they would still be charged on the 1st of the next month. Creators have been asking for this change for awhile, and Patreon has finally listened to us. 

Here are all the details:

• This billing change only affects NEW Patrons. Current Patrons will still be billed on the 1st of the month, as this is your billing cycle. 

• If you're a current Patron and you cancel and re-subscribe, you will be doing so under the new system and will be billed on the same date every month. 

• My content creation schedules and the tier rewards are still based on the calendar month. Patrons who join mid-month will still receive the amount of content promised in their tier rewards, it just won't all be from the same calendar month. 

• Discord access will be based on join date, not calendar month. Cancelation dates will be tracked and access updated accordingly. 

• Monthly posts (F4F, SFW, Bedtime Stories, To Be Continued, etc.) will now be posted every 31 days, instead of on a specific day of the week. This ensures that there is one is every billing cycle, no matter when someone joins. 

• Voting on the Newly-SFW audios for the $15+ tiers and the NSFW Exclusives from the previous month for the $5 tier will be discontinued. My analytics showed that the votes for these polls were getting fewer every month anyway, and since it's hard to offer this as a reward when billing cycles are shifting, it just makes sense to discontinue voting as a reward. Instead of these being chosen by vote, I'll use analytics to determine which audios are used as the rewards in these tiers every month. That's the fairest way to proceed. Release dates for these rewards will still be based on the 1st of the month, however, as access to them is ongoing throughout the month. 

Those are all the changes that I can foresee at the moment. Not a whole lot is different, just a few little things, but this will be soooo much better in the long run for everyone. I may have to adjust here and there as we go, depending on how everyone's experiences are with things, but for now we have a workable system.
