Last week's question was a treat for our senses (well, our sense of smell, anyway), as we discussed what scents we like best, and what they mean to us. A huge thank you to everyone who offered their answers!

This week, we're going to focus on another of our senses!

Here's the question:

💜💜 Do you enjoy ASMR? If so, what are some of your favourite triggers? (SFW only please!) If not, is there something you don't like about it? 💜💜

We're a sound-oriented community, so I'm really looking forward to the answers to this one! It's always interesting to know what other people listen to, and a great way to find new triggers yourself (I'm a huge ASMR fan, if anyone didn't know).

Have a fantastic week, everyone! I'll see you in the comments!

Three sounds I've liked a lot since long before I heard of ASMR are a crackling fireplace, the surf, and wind through pine trees in the mountains. Really original, I know. There are some musical sounds that really connect for me, too - I don't know whether musical instruments can count as ASMR, but these just resonate with something in me: a Spanish-style acoustic guitar, a saxophone, and that deep bass on Pink Floyd's "Time." Back in the years when I partook of psychoactives, I loved to get high, lie on a soft carpet in a darkened room with every muscle in my body limp, and listen to favorite albums with my best set of headphones. Hadn't heard of sensory deprivation then either, but that was what I was going for with all my senses except hearing.

Three sounds i enjoy in asmr is whispers, brushing of hair or headpats, sweet sighs of nothing..thingy. Three sounds i dislike in asmr are..? Tapping on mic, cardboard tapping(oddly not so much with nails) and overtly enthousiastic gurglely sounds..i guess..yeah Anywhoo, long time listener who dropped a bit tried catching up but now decide to become patron and make first comment, hello there

Welcome! Thank you for joining us! You've listed some great triggers here. I'm not a fan of those kinds of tapping either. Thanks for answering! 💜💜
