Here is a photo from the enchanting tea house Steve and I had matcha at. This one was taken by one of the nice young ladies who gave us the paper cranes (see story below).

It felt as if time had stopped and we were in another world.

Fun facts:

1. The garden outside is 150 years old.

2. Under each stone that makes up the path through the garden is a piece of rice with a prayer written on it.

3. The silk wall hangers were woven by the shop owner.

4. The tea in the photo is called “entry tea”. It is offered by the owner to welcome guests.
