For weeks Superman has been acting strangely, still fighting crime but taking afternoons off in order to watch soap operas and even eating bon bons. Cooking, especially baking, became something more than an obsession and even more peculiar is that Superman didn't recognize these obvious changes until he was publicly ridiculed in his own newpaper, the Daily Planet, after being spotted thwarting a thief with his apron still on! Determining that the only reasonable explanation was the encounter with Luthor, Superman waited until his cookies baked through before heading to Luthor's headquarters to confront him.
