I talk about a new book that I've been working on, the Yakuza series and why it isn't on Nintendo consoles, Nintendo's new horror game 'Emio', Bloober Team's Project M for Nintendo platforms, and provide a big update on my new video before answering a question from a listener to do with our shortlived F-Zero podcast.

Please let me know if you have any questions for the next episode!

On the topic of Yakuza, the Wii U port of 1&2 was a late port of bad HD remakes of the games and those ran worse than the PS3 version if I remember correctly. Also Nagoshi left Sega like 2 years ago to form Nagoshi Studio at NetEase. I think the real issue is that Japanese developers, especially old school ones from the 90s, can be set in their ways and assume that the Nintendo audience is just kids and the other platforms are where all the adults go. We see that from other historic publishers like Namco and Square (ignoring the SaGa guy) and why they ignore the Switch.
