Alright guys! I will be quickly showing you how I modified the Spirit Halloween My Hero Academia jumpsuit into a two piece uniform just like the anime version!

Here is where you can buy this uniform, you can also get this uniform in person at your local Spirit store! The details and colors are great but the only issue is...it is a jumpsuit. The actual uniforms are a two piece gym uniform and so we need to alter it for it to be accurate!

Start out by laying out your suit! Simple as that.

Now get to cutting! You're gonna wanna cut straight across just a half inch lower then the end of the zipper for the top. See, easy stuff.

I went to my local fabric store and picked up a cotton/spandex blend in the same color as the MHA suit (Bring your suit to the store and compare it to the fabrics) and I also got a two inch package of elastic, we will be using these to make the waistband of the pants!

When laying out your fabric for your waistband make sure your fabric has enough room to fold over the elastic, have room to be hemed and also have room to be sewn to the pants (A good inch of safety should be fine).

Once you have your fabric cut you're going to want to sew the casing you made for the waistband closed on the long side, a simple straight stitch will do.

Now that you have your casing down sew it down to the pants but DO NOT sew the casing closed, you want both ends open. That way you can insert the elastic into it once you're done sewing these pieces together.

Once you're done sewing the waistband to the pants it is time to insert the elastic! Easy way to push the elastic through the entire waistband is to attach a safety pin to the end of the waistband, this allows you to have something to grasp onto as you push the waistband through the casing!

Now, once you have it all the way through sew down the end of the elastic to the fabric of the end of the casing. Try on the pants and pull the other half the casing till your pants have a nice snug feeling. Put a safety pin at the point where you pulled the casing to mark where you will cut the rest of the elastic off, now cut that part off and sew that end of the elastic to the other half of the elastic, connecting the two pieces AND NOW you have closed off your waistband!

For the shirt all you're gonna do is a simple hem across the end of the shirt! And with that you are done, if you need any more information or help on this process just let me know! Happy crafting ~ <3
