[Space Funk] Introducing Vaughn Alvarez (Patreon)

First featured briefly in Vince's debut story, the first chapter of Space Funk, Vaughn is Vince's distant cousin.

Drawn for MizarSot, who has been maddingly kind and generous to me these past few years 💖, they asked for me to scene where the cousins reunite in the church parking lot at their grandfather's funeral.

(Of course, I failed to included the full truck interior due to time constraints. I finished this up at around 5am on Christmas Eve)

Because as I tried to imply with the story, the Space Alpacas and their descendants on earth have more sides to them than what first impressions may imply. And so Vince, Vaughn, and their late grandfather each represent a different aspect of the alien invader that is Vouge.

And so if Vince is meant to represent the "lover", Vaughn represents the "pirate". That defiant part of Vouge that made him into a wanted menace all across the galaxy. -- One is your city life, café barista gay, and the other is the vagabond criminal who's eating well thanks to the Alvarez family business...

But you don't need to worry about Vaughn. He may be a bad guy, but he isn't a bad guy.
