Hello if you're reading this its because I'm getting over my 2nd covid shot. I'm happy to report that I've had no real adverse affects other than being very lethargic. Been sleeping a lot over the past 24 hours and even now I know Ill be falling asleep soon. So seeing as I'm too tired to draw, I thought I'd make due with what I brought up yesterday and teach you about my devils.

Red Devils

Are modeled after the stereotypical red devil everyone knows from pop culture. Though they may deviate slightly from that look, at the hear of them is a celebration of their kitsch appearance. So red skin,  a spaded tail, horns, goat-like features, etc.

This orthodox approach is a direct reaction to the unorthodox depictions now saturating the zeitgeist, with demons and devils all to often getting the Twilight pretty-boy treatment OR being given the most horrid and inelegant metal album stylings possible. Either watering them down or bastardizing them to meet the paltry expectations of the lowest common denominator.

Red devils are liminal in this regard because they're readily identifiable but detached from their origins through commodification. Maybe you believe in a literal devil, but do you believe he actually resembles the costumes we wear at Halloween? No, the red devil is a distillation, a symbol, one so ubiquitous that it can belong to both everyone and no one. Consider this universality as I describe them further.

Canon

Red devils are hell born entities created through the union of wicked souls with satanic flesh, existing forever after as beings of pure sin. They embody all of the seven deadly sins, and spread their evil essence to everything they touch. In Hell, they exist in a transient state, either housed within or merged with other demons. On Earth, they are either the result of a botched summoning, or the byproduct of spiritual pollution via a cursed item, threshold, or nexus.

Given that they were once mortal themselves they attach themselves to human vices and are attracted to men with evil in hearts; pursuing them at great length should they fail to turn from their wicked ways. However once pursuit, few manage to avoid them for long.

Their personalities are born out of the souls that make them, albeit warped and twisted. And much like ghosts with unfinished business, they often take after those who were wronged in life, specifically scholars, philosophers, poets, and artists (often queer or homosexual) who's pleasure was cut short. It is for this reason they tend to speak with a transatlantic accent. A unique mixture of antiquated European and more modern western dialects, typically spanning the years 1600 to 1950, although they are said to have existed since the alleged time of the biblical world flood.

Though these devils are hypersexualized agents of sin, they still carry with them their worldly charm and charisma from when they were alive. So fine wine? Fine dining? A night at the theatre? Expensive tobacco, opium, or hash? Absolutely! Indeed they would be right at home in a tailored suit if they didn't find nudity so liberating and enjoyable.

Do not underestimate them. Their cunning and extranormal abilities make them apex foes, capable of out thinking and out maneuvering most. And while certain holy tools may keep them at bay, fire is useless, bullets pass right through them, and your grandmother's crucifix will be no more effect than a garden hose. But why?

Strange Flesh

If you've read this far, thankyou. But have you ever wondered why my fursona is now made from bubblegum? Seems quite random to go from beef to bazooka, but it all makes more sense when you learn that I first conceived of devils as having the same consistency as soft bubblegum.

Jude 1:7 speaks of “Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh” The traditional understanding of this passage is that the “strange flesh” refers to homosexual desire, but more modern interpretations cite it as being the unnatural sexual relations between non human entities and mankind. This may also be thought of as a kind of spiritual bestiality.

With the red devils this same implications apply, but I've expanded it out to describe the very nature of satanic flesh itself. For devils are not comprised of flesh and bone like ordinary people are. They are instead molded from transubstantial matter. A goopy and malleable substance that takes on whatever shape the devil desires. And should you touch it you'd discover it to be soft, viscous, and sticky like a glob of living bubblegum!

It's most important property is being able to convert that which is "similar" into more of itself. A devil's strange flesh is sinful so when it encounters more sin, it is very easy for the devil to transform that devil into more flesh for itself. So are you a good hearted, kind, and chaste person who leads a holy life? A goopy red devil will slide off as if you were coated in non-stick Teflon. But are you an evil hearted, wicked, and perverted person who leads a life of sin and immorality? You and the goopy red devil will glob onto each other if you were always two pieces of the same wad, because in many aspects you already were.

This is a permanent and irreversible transformation. The moment any portion of a person is converted into strange flesh, it will remain that way forever. A fact that red devils love to tease their victims with. To be embraced by a devil is a one way trip to hell for the rest of eternity. So shout, scream, and struggle. It will make no difference in the end as both you and the devil will be irrevocably blendt into a singular sinful whole.

Through this union, the devil can acquire a human's thoughts, memories, and knowledge. Assimilating them into it's own. Although an interesting thing happens when a being gains a higher and higher IQ. Where we associate a greater intellect as meaning greater civility. Eventually so much knowledge wraps back around into savagery and stupidity, assuming one fails to realize what's going on. So these men of art and science (now transformed into this perverted devils with wantful asses, beastly erections, and protruding nipples) are now each more brilliant than they were in life, except now all of their talent and wisdom is exerted in the pursuit of pleasure and nothing else.

Merging

They are the ultimate hedonists. Wanting after sex and self satisfaction at all times of the day, now and forever, and they want you to joint them. "Merge with me human!" as It really does feel like the very first time.

The only thing stopping a strange flesh from consuming the whole world is that at greater quantities it becomes unstable outside of hell. Demons and devils can only roam the earth when the conditions are right, and much like trying to balance on a tight rope, things get more difficult the larger and more unwieldy the weight becomes. And so gorged on their feast of mortal flesh, red devils will inevitably "fall" back into hell. Where the cycle of chaotic melting and mixing will continue until a piece of that evil escapes back up onto earth to start the process all over again.

Or to use an analogy. Red devils are like bucks of water pulled from the ocean. Pour the water back in and then try to retrieve the same bucket you just had. You'll find that it's impossible. -Existentially terrifying to some, but to devils this "transient ego" is just another part of their nature that doesn't bother them in the slightest. For the act of changing, merging, and transforming is what they strive for.

For example In a previous comic I drew a demon merging with a transgirl in order to grant her wish. Was the demon permanently combining themselves with another out of the goodness of their heart? No. Did he not realize the destructive act of forever losing his autonomy to this new form? No. He merged with her because he simply wanted to! Because that's what demons do!

Summary

I hope that made sense. I tried to write it in one go but passed out half way, and I'm now finishing it shortly after waking up 12 hours later x3
