Alright testers, got a new build for you guys to look over.  A couple of you have done this before, but most of you have not, so I'll break things down a little bit (And trying to do this with a bit more format than I have in the past.)


This is a test build for Wanton Cove, there's a good chance that there are bugs, but that is where you guys come in.  If you see ANYTHING from spelling errors, to grammar errors, to game breaking bugs, or anything in between, PLEASE report them.  I can't fix problems if I don't know about them.


Below is the changelog for this build, in parenthasies, I've given some detail about how to find the scenes in question as well as what to look for.

-The usual bug, spelling, and grammar fixes.  If I saw it, or someone pointed it out to me, I tried to get it fixed.  Found a few I/You instances in the bad part of town among other things. (This is spread out through the game, but primarily the bad part of town.  Keep reporting little mistakes and I'll keep fixing them.)

-New story driven scene on the main street of Wanton Cove.  There are three major branches depending on choices made up to this point in the story, and several variants to those scenes depending on your character's state of Taint and Madness.  Implied followup content has not yet been written. (There is a 1-5 chance of running into Cobb on the main street on day 6 now.  Depending on how you have treated him in the past, or even if you chose not to talk to him originally, will determine which of three scenes will play out here.  Brawling thresholds at 11 and 7 for scene variants on the Intimidation path.  There is also a bit of flavor text related to taint above or below 65.  This is also a Madness branch for those who have one or more points of Madness already.  The second branch is for the Streetwise path if you were nice to him which plays out differently depending on if you explored the tunnel beneath the church or not.  This scene will give a point of Madness.  Third branch is for those who have not interacted with Cobb yet in the story.)

-Phil has been updated with content related to Madness. (Nearly every dialogue option has been updated to include "Madness" flavor text.)

-Mr Morichi has been updated with content related to Madness.  (Nearly every dialogue option has been updated to include "Madness" flavor text.) 

-Added image for third Deep One ending. (Image has been added to ending.  This is the ending that triggers between 25-64 Taint.)

-New scene for Mr Morichi to follow up on the fifth book entry. (If you have met Azumi and read the fifth book entry with Occult of 9 or higher, Mr Morichi will have a new dialogue option.)

-New scene for Azumi to follow up on the fifth book entry.  (If you have met Azumi and read the fifth book entry with Occult of 9 or higher, Azumi will have a new dialogue option.) 

-New ambient scene in the mansion on the bluff.  New variants for three of the existing scenes. (Entering the mansion, there is now a fourth ambient scene that can play out on your way to see Mr Morichi.  New flavor text related to Taint +/- 65 has been added to the other three that were already present.)

-Six new ambient events for the Docks.  Two are White Goo events. (Three play out before day 5, three play out starting on day 5 and beyond.  These scenes play out at random.  Each of the has roughly a 1/18 chance of playing out any time an ambient event is triggered in that area.)

-Wrote one new White Goo event for the bad part of town. (Scene has two starts depending on if you have encountered the White Goo before or not.  Followup for investigating further has unique text depending on your current Taint level.  Scene plays differently at the following taint thresholds: 95/65/50/25/10/0.  Scene has about a 1/25 chance of playing any time an ambient event triggers in that area.)

UPDATE:  Replaced the previous file with a fix.  Should resolve the error reported previously.  Sorry about the inconvenience.


If the error persists (Tired, going to bed soon, so didn't take the time to test it.) or anything else is reported, I'll get to work on it in the morning.  Should have a couple of hours at the very least to work on things.

Took a moment to look it over, and it looks like there was a bit of code out of sequence. Made the adjustment and posted a new build. More details with the above post.
