Alternative endings Kurapika- Mob boss Leorio-Chairman Gon-Phantom Troup member Killua-Family business Hisoka- idk...bubble gum promoter? Armin and Illumi- YouTuber

Hisoka planned ahead for this deception as well. when he explained his "Texture-Surprise" ability to Matchi following his fight with Kastro, he never explained he could use it alter things as fine as text on paper. Troupe members probably all hide aspects of their abilities from each other, considering how they gained the position. I also enjoy how being a Hunter puts the entire Mafia a considerable step below Leorio in terms of global influence. He just wants to be a doctor.. lol

I find it incredible that despite Hisoka not knowing about Kurapika’s Judgement Chain, he just assumed he’d have an ability like it for taking on the Troupe. I also like the whole scene with Kurapika revealing his secrets to everyone, especially the Judgement Chain part with Gon. The fact that he’s that open with them is heartwarming knowing what he’s been through.

True, he only revealed to Machi what she already could have assumed from the Kastro fight. He's incredibly selective with information and uses it to his advantage time and time again. And I never get tired of it.

Honestly, when I first watched this, the idea of the Troupe getting many of their members wiped out made my heart sink. They are murderers, but seeing the dynamic and bond that they have with each other made me hate the idea that it might get torn apart.

Honestly, Hisoka’s two powers are very fitting for his character. One is a power he uses in combat that he presents in a flashy manner (properties of rubber and gum and all that), the other is solely used for trickery in all situations and he barely talks about it at all.

Something that I had noticed around this point in the show when first watching it, was the fact that you never hear Killua's footsteps. Ever. They simply don't make sound, even when you can hear other characters' footsteps when running or walking. Really amusing once you notice it.

in the scene where they're running through the subway you can kind of hear them

18:50 During Haikyuu, I talked about the "4 character compounds" or 'yojijukugo' that Noya likes and wears on all his t-shirts. One of them that I was always surprised never made an appearance in Haikyuu was said by Killua here, when he says that they've all chosen to share the same fate. In Japanese, it's 一蓮托生 or 'ichiren-takushou.' Literally, "one group, entrust life," or basically, if you've decided to form a bond with people, you're in it for the long haul with them. I guess one reason why it might not be used in Haikyuu is that it normally implies accepting the negative consequences of being in a group and bearing that pain, much like in this episode.

😂 YouTuber is a good one Alternate for Leorio is also con man, apparently. Hisoka not having an obvious one is interesting, cause in a sense it means he's perfectly what he is

Hisoka is awesome for having so many powers outside of nen as well. Insane intelligence, strong desire backed by even more patience, and... Arm wrestling strength somehow?

agoodwintv

I feel the same, some of them individually are not explored enough to be interesting but the group as a whole is so fun and interesting (and surprisingly human) it's hard not to get sucked into their group as principal characters almost

I was about to make a joke about how his right arm got that strong, but I’ll refrain.
