The Phantom Troupe is one of the reasons why HxH is said by some to have the best villains in anime. Also, fun fact: Feitan, the short phantom troupe guy with dark hair and clothes, actually inspired Levi’s design from AOT.

On the subject of Gon and Killua making some bad investments, in the manga it's revealed Killua was using his money to bet on horse racing, and lost horribly. Gon calls him out for having a gambling addiction, and Killua calls out Gon for not taking enough risk with his money. To answer why Kurapika and co. were sent to retrieve those items specifically, one is as yet another test to prove they are capable, but also because as was stated this episode Neon collects human trophies, so it's basically free labor. Also funny you should mention Death Note, since the leader of the Phantom Troupe is voiced by the amazing Mamoru Miyano, known for being the voice of Light, and coincidentally also Okabe. You may have also recognized the voices of some other Phantom Troupe members. Nobunaga (sword guy) shares a VA with Askeladd, and Uvogin (big guy with bigger sideburns) shares a VA with Thorkell) I'd also like to point out how genius the hunter website is from a business perspective. First, you need to pay to get information, then you get sucked into the website and have to listen to it, so you only get to hear it there. It basically makes it impossible to leak the information since you can't provide a source except to other hunters who would also have to go to the website and pay more money to have proof, which defeats the purpose of leaking information.

Oh maybe a fellow neon fan on the future, jokes aside i do like her a lot, she is very cute and naive, but at the same her tastes and her atitudes goes against it almost always, i think is the mix between cute and dark that i like so much.

Oh I see, gambling does not fall into the category I was describing because the odds are predetermined against you. "Investments" was more interesting :) That's a stacked cast. I'm a bit ahead on episodes so I got to hear a lot of Uvogin, and yeah I can definitely hear the Thorkell in hindsight

Fun little fact about Feitan (Levi looking guy) that I missed the first few times I watched this, but I love. His voice actor says all his lines slow and deliberate, because Japanese isn't Feitan's first language. He struggles with it, but we see him say a few things in whatever his native tongue is every once in a while. Really cool detail that helps to show just how deeply all the characters were thought about

Very possible that "jeni" are meant to be like yen, but there used to be a currency in Japan called "zeni" that was 100 zeni = 1 yen. So, when people say "zeni" or "kozeni," they mean 1/100th of a yen. In that case, roughly $2000 for the information. I think we might be supposed to think of money as no object, though.

How did Kurapika stole the hair? - He seduced the actress, they dated for a while, then he dumped her and, in typical anime fashion, she cut her own hair as a sign to "move forward". Then he just picked it up.

First of all, damn you for mentioning Jumanji.. I spent an hour reminiscing about it by watching clips and whatnot, lol. But as for Hisoka, I love your analysis of his character and I feel the same way. Hisoka knows what he wants and he has a strong mental. People may talk shit/threaten Hisoka but none of them REALLY want the smoke. I mean, afterall, one of the members of the Troupe complained as to why Hisoka gets special treatment from the boss. If he's getting special treatment from the leader that MUST mean something.
