Cant look at Malaysian beaches the same way again

Manny

I wanted to punch the air around me but the shock just had me paralyzed. I knew it would happen but I never expected this soon. I just Mahito’s ass out of here.

Nanami is such an interesting character. He is actually Gege's favorite and was originally supposed to be a villain. The way he transformed him into a mentor figure for Yuji was amazing. Especially with his contrast to how Gojo handles things. At his last moments he didn't want to burden Yuji with his final words but in the end decided to trust in him which feels so bittersweet.

Mahito is so vile and soooo funny

The noticeable shift in Yuji’s facial expression @10:27, from uncontrollable fury to just sheer despair and desperation, was such a subtle but powerful visual into how broken his emotional state is at this point.

This is why I hate it when people say Gege’s treatment of certain characters are because he “hates them”. Two characters he “wasn’t the fondest of” are two of the most important characters in the series (Gojo and Yuji), while also giving his favorite character a role that wasn’t front and center and killed him off early on. He is not that petty.

The "Shibuya Incident Arc" is slowly becoming "The Evergrowing Trauma In Shibuya Arc"

I am still crying for Nanami. It broke my soul to hear Yuji call him "Nanamin" so meakly. And him screaming at Mahito afterwards......Yuji's VA really is putting his all into those recordings. All the VA's do honestly. But this episode hurt my soul.

I hope we all agree we should hate Mahito, I did from the beginning but people still simp for him🥲 Nanami was my favorite, I legit sobbed when he died… I know he’s fictional but he was such a good and cool person, it makes me so sad he died ;-;

Jake White

Nahhh I don’t hate Mahito, he’s a fantastic villain. Infuriating for sure, but a great villain nonetheless and incredibly entertaining to watch (every moment that he’s not actively killing beloved characters lol). And Nanami was my favorite character as well.

Sorry for the late response here, but I've only just got up to this point in my own JJK binge, haha. I think this episode definitely shows that Nanami is the author's favourite character. His death was, by all means, rather merciful. What got me personally most about Junpei's death was how after all the shit he'd been through he was turned into this almost comical caricature of himself to die in the most humiliating way possible. The author could have easily done this with Nanami and turn his already devastating demise into something much much worse, but they gave him a pretty respectful send-off, all things considered.
