LETS GO! Perfect timing. This is sadly probably the last well animated episode of the entire season. The next episode, without spoiling anything, is still crazy high budget and has some good cuts, but is clearly unfinished and needed a lot more work/polishing to be cohesive. The bones are there, but the meat was not cooked enough. Every episode from here on out will probably continue to decrease in animation quality. This episode is still peak though.

It seems that Toji ended his life because he wasn’t totally in control, so he wanted to put a stop to his rampage.

Yeah as the others said Toji was essentially on autopilot attacking the strongest, but breifly snapped out of it with Megumi. He definetely didnt want to risk killing his son in that moment. It's sad that Toji thought the Zen'in clan would be a better place for Megumi than himself. Also rip Jogoat, its ironic that he wanted to be human when I'd argue that he has the most human-like qualities out of all the curses.

coming in clutch with the timing of this

toji is a deadbeat but it's more cause he feels incapable of raising a kid rather than him not caring. in some manga volume extras it's explained that toji was an unstable person cause of the stuff he was dealing with while in the zenin clan but megumi's mother helped calm him down. unfortunately she died shortly after megumi was born and toji ended up regressing and chased after money by leeching off of women and taking on jobs like we saw in the last arc. presumably he met tsumiki's (megumi's step-sister) mother during this time and married her but from what we know about her she also seemed unfit to be a parent and they both bailed on the kids. the lady saying "please take care of megumi" in the scene about the sale is actually megumi's mom, so toji sold megumi off to the clan not just for some money but because he figured it would be a stable enough environment for him to live in as he had talent. but in the end toji felt relieved that gojo managed to stop the sale and that megumi isn't involved with clan. sorry for the novel length comment lol

You get down to the brass tacks , I think sukuna and gojo and the same, they both absolutely revel in their abilities and the thrill of the fight and while they will ultimately fight I don’t think they will be much malice , they are perfect for each other. Pinnacle of the past vs the pinnacle of the present

Episode 7 definitely had people underestimate Jogo. Plus coolness in design plays a factor somewhere. But you have to give it up to him here.

Yea cause I feel like the latest episode was wasted potential as harsh as that sounds because if you look at the staff list, it is literally the most stacked team of animators I’ve ever seen. Each of the animators on their own can carry an episode but they were all there together. But unfortunately because of the horrible schedule, they weren’t able to fully realize there ambition

Yeah, Kusakabe is just the most realistic human among the cast lmao. Remember that Mei Mei said he actually has no cursed technique at all, yet he’s still a grade 1 on par with Nanami and Naobito, with only cursed energy manipulation and his sword fighting skills. So he’s genuinely impressive as hell, but it also means that his very nature *has* to be overly cautious and avoid any enemies he knows are either way stronger than him or have really complex techniques that he can’t neutralize without one of his own. I love him personally lol

Tbh put a big smile on my face hearing you have to finally give some props and recognition to Jogo lol. The hate was funny but I always loved him as a villain and this episode just makes it damn near impossible to not at least gain the tiniest bit of respect for him. RIP to the Jogoat 🫡

"I haven't felt this kind of last minute sympathy since demon slayer." LMFAOO

I know Gojo was confident that he could beat 20 finger sukuna but after seeing this I'm not so sure anymore. That was insane. He's so in wildly powerful that he casually killed what is basically the cursed incarnation of fire and heat by burning it to death lol.

Thank you for your content and reactions, I appreciate what you do :)
