I feel like I've been waiting SO long to laugh at your reaction to Jogo showing up this episode lmao

The image of Toji emerging is probably the top 3 most iconic manga panels in the JJK fandom. The text from the manga goes as follows. “Those who inherited the curse of the Zenin family, the one who couldn’t fully leave that curse. They would all bear witness… to the bare flesh of the one who is free. To the one who left it all behind and his overwhelming intensity.”

Chris Sharpe

Yet another Toji/Monkey King parallel is that fact that he uses the weapon Playful Cloud. The Monkey King rides on a cloud and wields a staff. Really lends credence to his character, as the Monkey King was banished from heaven, representing the Zenin clan, and the upside down shot of him looks like he’s descending from above.

I like the manga "narration" more. Funny to think that both Goku and Toji are inspired by the same character

Honestly, there would probably be debate on whether Sun Wukong actually more like one than the other. Either way, the narration was made up for with interest with that scrumptious animation.

I feel like the manga translation of Toji’s arrival was done a little bit better imo. The original translation was : “They would all bear witness… to the bare flesh of the one who is free, to the one who left it all behind! And his overwhelming intensity !!” The original moment in the manga actually reminds me a lot of Gojo’s “Honored One” moment in Hidden Inventory. They both feel euphoric and transcendental despite the circumstances surrounding them. Gojo had finally elevated himself above all other sorcerers and Toji had finally been freed from the burden of his life and his clan. This is even more interesting when you consider that Toji is the one who directly caused the ascension of Gojo by nearly killing him, and Gojo is the one who set Toji free by killing him and taking care of his son.

@5:43 yes, they are a real thing that exists in the world lol. They’re called ‘giant isopods’ and Although they are exponentially smaller in real life, they’re still enormous for what basically amounts to ocean rollie pollie’s/pill bugs lol

Sukunas presence is just so damn heavy!

Idk if its true but I read a comment that the book Geto was reading in that flashback scene with the girls was a parenting book.

Crazy episode and more to follow, cant wait. Sad to hear about animators being overworked tho. They deserve much credit
