Wow, that's a hell of a list! Thanks for all the great suggestions and rationales.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello, and welcome to what I'm sure will be a simple and drama-free process of selecting the show to fill the Haikyuu!! slot (show starting the week after next).

Due to the fact that:

- Patreon polls are unfortunately limited to 25 options

- Google Forms voting in the past has been... interesting (I'm looking at you Boku no Pico fans)

- I think I already have a general sense of which 4 or 5 shows will rank the highest

I decided to do voting options suggestions informally this time.

So: Please suggest shows in the comments and I will narrow it down to a maximum of 25 options based on my read of overall sentiment. The official poll will be held this weekend or early next week.

A few requests:

- Disagreement is of course fine but please keep comments constructive and civil.

- I always feel bad when I can't select shows people really like, so this is me saying I really do want to get to everything but some things just make more sense at certain times. Case in point: Hunter x Hunter lost what... 3 times? But it's happening. This is a request for understanding.

- Feel free to recommend multiple shows

- ***EDIT*** Non Japanese or non anime shows welcome

Thank you in advance for your great recommendations.

Love you all.

Can't wait to see what you guys think.

Hm, I feel like everyone should have seen Gintama at least once in their life, but it's kind of a hard sell because it's a) long and b) the really great stuff comes towards the end or is burried underneath the 90% wacky comedy this show mostly consists of. It's similar with One Piece, I love that story, but the Anime has pacing issues and the quality is really uneven (aside from being really long). But hey, the Netflix Live Action version of One Piece is really good and only has 8 episodes so far, so maybe that's a good alternative? And "The Good Place", I still wanna hear your thoughts on that! Other than that, if you're looking for another Sports Anime, I think you'd enjoy digging into Ookiku Furikabutte? Or Big Windup, as it's called in English, it's about Baseball. But it's a little unusual for a sports show, because the focus is much more on the training side of things than actual games? I'd almost call it slice of life sometimes. It's about a group of first-years building up a baseball club from scratch and everything that comes along with that.

My anime suggestions were already suggested, so I'll suggest the One Piece Live Action

The Large Amoeba

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion. Your style fits perfectly for this show. Its very driven by things like morality and idealism. Well framed by a pretty great mecha anime.
