You were right about the Miwa connection when they spoke about Simple Domains, she uses one as the basis for her technique and it's likely the source of his inspiration for using them. A Simple Domain has the effect of nullifying other techniques within its radius - that's how it hurt Mahito, because it effectively turned off his ability to "reshape" his soul and avoid conventional damage. That also applies to the "guaranteed hit" aspect of Domain Expansions and how it's generally supposed to be used. There's a bunch more complexities (ironically) to Simple Domain but hopefully the show conveys the detail well in the future. It's a lot to keep track of! Loved the animation and use of colour in this episode, they're really going all in.

Don’t get me wrong the animation this episode was absolutely spectacular and they did a PHENOMENAL job bringing these chapters to life…. BUT I think you should do yourself a favor and check out what Mahito’s creepy grin when he broke into the cockpit, first looked like in the manga cause it is absolutely nightmare fuel lol. Great reaction but I just want more haha! JJK this season is already so good and all its shown is an introduction to the "main event". Still Mechamaru will be missed. Can't wait for more of Mr.Goowin (looking good btw)

What should’ve been some of the best action animation of all of Jujutsu Kaisen was turned into garbage due to Japanese TV laws that force live broadcasts to fog and blur action sequences that have bright colors and fast moving frames in order to prevent potential seizures. Some of the stuff in this episode was supposed to be great animation, but it looks horrible not due to MAPPA but too stupid TV laws. The animators themselves have been very vocal about there complaints since the episode aired. It sadly looks terrible, when the original unedited versions probably looks fantastic. Ironically enough, the blurring and desaturated effects gave me more of a headache than anything else. Many others feel the same. Really unfortunate stuff.

Yeah I personally can’t stand the industry solution to potential epilepsy risks. I’d pay so much money for them to simply put a warning bubble on the screen at the beginning of the episode telling people to turn their brightness down or skip this episode if they’re prone to seizures or something but 🤷‍♂️ sucks

@Jake White Totally agree... its funny cause I have left this comment or somewhat similar comments on other youtube/patreon reactions to this episode and a bunch of people reply to me in extreme anger towards me lmfao. Glad to see here on the Goodwin TV page, which has a much higher average IQ patreon supporter due to Goodwin's intelligence as a reactor, people are reacting with sensibility.

I wouldn’t say it looks terrible, but I definitely noticed it for the first time since this season started airing (apparently they hit Hidden Inventory too). That sequence of Mahito running away and transforming into different animals definitely got hit hard and it was just straight up hard for me to follow on my first viewing. I still think it’s fine for the most part and the episode was still overwhelmingly well received so I don’t really mind, especially since most of the other fights don’t really include giant mecha lasers that they need to dim or anything lmao.

@Stone Free I agree it was a fantastic episode regardless of the animation censorship... it just really pisses me off when amazing work from animators who are already over worked and under paid get their work destroyed by ridiculous laws. Lets pray that future episodes don't get ruined like this one.

I am an anime only so I have no idea what's going to happen but here are my predictions for this arc: Gojo = Dead or Captured Todo = Dead Nobara = Dead Mechamaru = Dead (already) And than probably three or more other high profile deaths...
