Very hyped for these matches! Did you see that Netflix announced season 5 of The Dragon Prince for release this Summer? Hoping for a better season that S4 (which you haven’t seen yet).

Ah that's great news. I can hopefully watch season 4 leading up to season 5 in that case

As far as the ending go, it's not "oikawa's fantasy" of winning 33-31 vs karasuno in this tournament, thats the score from how Karasuno lost to Aoba Johsai in season 1 so it's more about showing karasuno's defeat again and picking themselves back together as they get ready for the upcoming tournament

Bighead

Hinata and his bathroom chronicles deserves it's own independent spinoff. Also the beginning of the ed is basically the first tournament match between karasuno and aoba josai, where aoba josai won. I think it's interesting to note Oikawa's expression there right after his victory. Can be interpreted in different ways. On today's episode of current concerns- Oikawa Tooru: When he tried to talk to Karasuno’s manager, Kiyoko, he got utterly ignored. (But she must just have been shy, and it’s not like he’s all that bothered by it, not even a little bit, not at all - Oikawa said to himself.) Iwaizumi Hajime (better read in Oikawa's voice- Iwa-chan♥️): “Just 1cm more… or 7mm, at least…!” (In regard to his height.) Kozume Kenma: Summer is too hot, winter is too cold. Kuroo Tetsurou (popularly known as rooster head, by Hinata) : Can’t get rid of his bedhead hair. Ushijima Wakatoshi: None (Of course!! ) Aone Takanobu (contrary to popular belief, he is just a gentle no brows giant) : When he’s riding the train nobody wants to sit on either side of him. :(

Not to steal Ryan’s job, but when Oikawa calls the guy Mad Dog, it makes more sense in Japanese because the original word is Kyoken while his actual name is Kyotani, so it flows a lot better in Japanese,

Man I love this show so much. When rewatching this show usually I always just kinda watch the big moments and climax's over again but rewatching this entirely with you I'm really enjoying the training episodes and progress of the characters. Man I love this show. Also love seeing Tsukki start to break out of his shell a little bit more.

Sacha

No matter how many times I reread or rewatch the series Tsukki’s slow development always gets me right in the feels. It’s soo bloody good! You can just tell how different he is now and yet he is still our salty boi. Also “TOBE FLY HIGH!!!” Best OP is here!!

Ardawen

Ah my favorite Haikyuu OP

Ryan

Please do steal my job, haha! It makes me super happy when other people know things about Japanese. :) Kyo-tani Ken-taro --> Kyo + Ken (same sound as 狂犬) (I wanted to try to make a joke trying to predict Goodwin's names for him, like Angry Cat, or Irritated Wolf, or something, but it ended up sounding mean-spirited, so I'll just look forward to seeing what happens).

Keegan Brakhage

hi sorry if this has been answered somewhere else, but is mob psycho gonna come back soon? we were so close!

Noya's shirt this episode just said "heaven." It wasn't a 4-character word, but ironically Hinata's teal shirt was a copy of one of Noya's from earlier in S1: 大器晩成, 'taiki bansei', basically: "Great weapons take time to develop" Couple little language nerd comments: - 9:55 Tsukki's question to Ukai was what he could do not just when the opponent was taller and stronger, but when it's "overwhelmingly" so (圧倒的, attouteki). Later, Bokuto uses the same word to say that he's "completely" winning over Tsukki (圧勝), and hopes that Tsukki beats Ushiwaka so that he'll have complete-complete victory (圧圧勝), so that's meant to be a parallel. - You asked not to know what the diarrhea pressure point is, so I'll happily just pretend that didn't happen, haha. - Kageyama's speech at 7:20 and Hinata's response. You could take what Kageyama said two ways: 1) Oikawa is able to bring out the best in everyone, and he's worked for three years developing the potential of everyone on Seijoh, so we couldn't ask for stronger and better opponents to test our skills against, and/or 2) even though we'd only been a team for a few months and had barely any tools back in Inter-High, we were still able to take on a team that Oikawa has honed to its peak. With Oikawa at the helm, Seijoh is the best they could possibly be, and we're still right there with them. That's why we're going to win. (Those aren't mutually exclusive interpretations) Hinata responds "datou dai-ousama" (打倒、大王様. "overthrow Great King"). He doesn't say *I* am going to defeat the Great King. It's more just "down with the Great King!" Hinata's not being self-centered at all or putting himself in front of the team or anything, just in case that was a concern. I think they just added "I" because it makes it a little easier to follow when Kageyama then says "hey, you stole my line."

Very good too but Fly High just perfectly incapsulates the show for me

Athena

Tsukki is making up for all that extra training he missed when he'd just go home and everyone else stayed for individual practice! It's starting to feel like he's getting ready for that moment. I love how the montage is showing us the improvements a lot of them are making. Some we haven't even seen come to fruition yet (e.g. Yamaguchi, Tanaka, Tsukki)! Omnivores! The lot of them!

Athena

@Ryan I love season 3 intro with my whole being. It gets me hyped.

Spizami

Just focusing on a sweet little moment in the episode that you didn't mention. But during the montage at the end Yamaguchi did a float serve that Nishinoya wasn't able to dig and I think that's pretty neat <3
