Oh, wow! You really weren't kidding about the extra SxF episodes huh, Goodwin. XD

Chris Sharpe

Wake up babe, new Spy x Family just dropped.

Was sorta waiting for an opportunity to talk about this, but it seems that Yor’s job is not contract killing. Rather the organization goes after people they deem “impure”, like corrupt politicians. While she does sometimes imagine killing regular people (like one of the parents of a student so Anya can get in), she quickly shakes that thought off because she can’t “kill an innocent”. While still not a good profession, it seems that she isn’t killing innocent people (unless she’s being tricked by her employers, which is possible).

Jake White

By ‘side job’ he meant being there at the hospital lol. His ‘mission’ is to be the head of the Forger household and get close to Desmond, so his Doctor job is the side cover story that makes time management difficult

Also @8:40ish: I, like you, kinda just giggled at that question and answer from Loid. But I’ve seen others point out that Anya asking “where’s the brain manipulating machine?” is actually subtly a lot darker because she’s probably remembering what the facilities were like where she was experimented on. Definitely just a theory and left ambiguous enough to be either option. Anya asking that question has like a 50/50 chance of either just being a silly remark meant to giggle at, or a seriously sad reminder that this girl’s had a rough few early years

Aren't we all? Rooting for Franky to find someone, that is.

Ryan

Hence Goodwin's "She's putting all of her moral agency in the shopkeeper."

Chris Sharpe

@Ryan Yeah, I typed this out before I started the episode, but still wanted to go more into depth with it.
