A few things: A. Funny you compare Kishibe to Nanami, because they have the same voice actor. B. It’s a shame the manga translation was cut out, because Kishibe says in one translation “I’ll turn you two into the craziest motherfuckers ever”. C. I don’t like these coaches either, but they did emphasize the fact that most devil hunters are not as emotional as Aki is, so it does make a bit of sense. D. In the manga, Power calls the plan “Operation Supersmart”. You can actually see a glimpse of her in her “supersmart” look in the background of the op just before she hits the giant ball with the hammer when she’s hanging onto the pole.

The craziest motherfuckers translation does in fact go hard, really drives home how unhinged Kishibe is if you couldn't already tell I would also honestly still recommend anyone to check out the manga despite the anime adaptation being amazing. This is because the manga has a lot of great art and paneling specifically (plus some smaller cut moments) So if you enjoy season 1 enough, to anyone reading, maybe consider continuing the story through the manga so you don't have to wait. That's personal preference though, the anime is definitely going crazy with the adaptation in the best way. I don't want to be one of those manga readers who insists you read it or you're not a true fan, either is fine

Kishibe wasn't coming home he was coming to Aki's house, since he said he would be hunting Denji and Power the next day. He meant it Denji and Power had prepped at their house basically with things like the bottles of blood

Himeno, before she died, revealed to the audience that Aki doesn't cry in public. He hides in his room and cries for his dead colleagues. And before she died, she told Aki "I don't want you to die. So that when I die, you can cry for me." And he did.

Why It
