Don't worry, this is far from the end. The first movie is a really great kinda contained story and if you thought the show was gorgeously animated just wait for this lol The second and final movie on the other hand... actual peak of the series. An almost perfect ending for an almost perfect series. Top 10 anime of all time for me.

Have rewatched Violet Evergarden a few times and have just now caught that the first episode and this one’s names are mirrored. :’)

I really appreciate how this story didn't just focus on a purely romantic perspective of the words, "I love you." Instead Violet, and us as the audience (I really like your interpretation of the show being a doll in itself), were shown different types and expressions of love all throughout the series. This is vital for Violet because she did not just need to learn about romance but, more importantly, what it means to live. To live is to love. To love is to embrace all of life's joy and beauty as well as its pain and sorrow. This is what I love most about KyoAni works. They always remind and inspire me to live my life to the fullest and to love being alive.

That is exactly what I love most about KyoAni shows as well, they literally give me energy and strength to live and be happy. The way they are able to convey and express human emotion through the animated medium is unmatched by any other studio, and its even better that they almost exclusively focus on Romance/Slice of Life shows.

What an amazing reaction and reaction series. Thank you for being so emotionally open and honest, this series has gotten to you like no other. This show is truly special, and I think it all has to do with the staff at KyoAni who have made this and many other masterpieces that touch on all the same feels as this one does. This is what it looks like when the masters are at work with the tools they need to make epics.
