Oh boy the dub can’t wait to see the comments on this…. I personally think it’s a pretty solid dub, with a lot of stellar casting, but this isn’t one of the sacred cows of dubbing people will tolerate lol. Although it might be better to switch to sub for the fact that season 2 hasn’t even started dubbing yet…unless they release all 11 episodes at once you’ll either have to wait or switch to the sub version. Either way it’s a good series and I’m excited

He said he watched the first two episodes in dub cause he needed to get ahead and that he is gonna put a poll up in the future to decide between sub and dub. Safe to say the sub version is gonna win the poll...lets pray for that at least.

I think the english voices are jarring next to the original in demon slayer, but overall pretty good performances.

Opening scene: Everything is awesome! Love this show. Didn't really expect dub but whatever. It's far from the worst one out there (pretty good as they go). Either way hype for this series, it's so good.

I’m actually so excited for this. From the FruBa QnA how you were talking about how much you loved Aya and Yuki’s relationship I knew this would be amazing. IMO Demon Slayer is the perfect shonen, you have all the typical story beats but told in a very refreshing way, the action and animation is unparalleled, there’s no insane power scaling weirdness, and as you kind of already picked up on the side characters are all gold. Every. Single. One.

Lol you would be correct. The sub for this show is one of the best I have ever heard, especially the demon's chief omfg you cannot imagine some of the voices these actors pull off for the demon's. Tanjiro's VA is also GOATED.

It seems the majority is egging for the subs on this one, which will make it harder for editing unfortunately... but at least Mob has a FANTASTIC dub so you'll get a break on that one for sure

Maybe I'm inviting negativity in my life just by saying this, but Sub versus Dub arguments exhaust me... like people say the original sub is good? Great! I'll be sure to watch it! But for me personally my level of comprehension will be miles better in the English dub so usually I watch both... I don't get why people are so pressed. But great reaction! I've been meaning to watch this show so glad it's on the channel.

The music in this show is just....*chefs kiss* One of the best OST's I've heard. I love the unique style this soundtrack maker does for the shows she works on, the Garden of Sinners movies also have this same type of OST and it just works so well. Its so ominous but also pleasing at the same time.

I dont understand why you cant enjoy the show with dubs, sure you have preferences but its not the end of the world. This channel has been predominantly a dubbed one, theres nothing wrong with supporting the dubs.

The experience of dub vs sub is highly subjective to each person. Both sides have good arguments but at the end of the day there’s no way to appease everyone, hence why he’s doing a poll. That way at least a majority are happy with his decision.

its finally here, great first video!! i see plenty of people already saying to go sub over dub (which i agree with), but make sure to also stick through the credits too, as pretty much every episode has a fun post credits bonus scene!!

Ngl those post credit scenes are prob my least fav part of the show up until the recent arc where they've actually been doing good stuff with them. Maybe Goodwin will find the humor in them that I couldn't.

As I am totally new to demon slayer and am a dub and sub watcher I will give my unbiased opinion on sub vs dub for this show. To be totally honest, the dub is a bit easier on the ears, though the emotions sound a little more authentic in the sub. Really I would watch either, but for the sake of convenience I would go for dub. Plus it can be hard to catch all of the subtitles and see all the action at the same time. On another note, though I was wary about watching this show, I'm kinda excited to watch the next episode with you.

Dude the Mob Psycho 100 dub is ascension levels of quality. I think it works SO well in dub because the show is very over the top, and the actors get to make a lot of wild choices that make perfect sense. Reigen is a good example

Just want to mention something probably others have mentioned but that's the intro not the outro. Usually if there's a title card it's an intro from what I can tell I guess. Also a lot of first episodes for animes now adays have the intro at the end of the first episode I guess to make the beginning of the show feel more cinematic

Having just recently caught up on this show myself, and having forced myself to watch in sub, I honestly am not sure if I could watch in dub for this particular anime. MHA is different because I’ve grown super attached to the dub voices, with this it’s the opposite. It feels weird to me watching this one in dub… NTM, the show is far behind on the dub, so assuming you get to season 2 and there’s no dub for that yet, you’ll have to switch… oh well. I guess this is just a case of dealing with it, which is what I had to do.

Also some thoughts overall, I know dub is easier for you so I'm not gonna die on the hill but I genuinely think the dub sucks compared to the sub. Also Ufotable (the studio responsible for the show) does an incredible job of using 3D cameras and environments to place 2D animation within it and it always looks so high quality and gorgeous

I’m someone who doesn’t care if it’s dub or sub. I watch everything dubbed. …that said, there are a couple characters that I can’t stand in this anime and maybe it’s because of the dub lol. So there is my two cents. I cant wait to see you thoughts on the future episodes, this anime is fun! :D

I actually enjoy the dub but at least if you watch the sub (which is also great) you can dive right into the rest of the arcs after the first season because they are only subbed at the moment

Re-watching this while doing homework, and I realized just how quickly Goodwin jumped in to defend Tanjiro. "can someone give tanjiro a break for one second? the dude's trying to work" "can you just handle your own problems for god's sake" "yeah i wonder how it got so late, stopping to help everyone, fixing their domestic disputes, and. doors." This show started my anime music phase at the beginning of 2021, that I'm still not out of somehow. Also, Arcane and Demon Slayer, both amazing visually. Excited for all these shows rn :)

Nah he has always done shows in both versions depending on what is preferred. Its never been a dub only patreon and its not advertised that way either so thats unforunate you lost a lil bit of $.
