Forgot about how great this episode was, probably because since every episode in season 2 and 3 is good. Excited for you to learn more about Rin and more about Rin and Haru’s development. Like a few others in comments, Rin is a favorite character of mine, Haru is too. I feel like a say that about so many characters in this show. Truth is they’re all great lol.

I hate how dubs make the VA's pronounce anyone named 'Rin' as REEEN that's how u'd pronounce Rini not Rin @.@ also yes what Francesca White said, i've a terrible time with names and there's someone coming up with an almost similar name to Rin, i had to play several scene's back a few times to understand who was being talked about XD

actually if you listen to the Japanese her name is pronounced like "Reen", so the dub actually got it right, but yeah i always pronounce it wrong lol

@goodwin I don't know if it was shown in the dub...but the name of the hospital that Rin is in is Sohma general hospital....

Isuzu "Rin" Sohma is played by Brina Palencia. You may know her voice from Black Butler, if you've watched that, as Ciel Phantomhive. She also lends her voice to the infamous Minoru Mineta from MHA. Bet you didn't see that one coming.

I double checked on subbed right now but a nice little detail is that Haru has named the characters in the game he is playing to: "Yuki" "Haru" and "Kyo"

Someone else pointed out that Rin is a nickname, but the reason for it is pretty cute. Basically "Izuzu" is a name that refers to ringing bells. And what sound do bells make? Really excited to see what you make of her later down the line.

On the topic of names, Isuzu was named after isuzukuretsuki or "month of the last cool spring days", aka the month of the horse. Her name has two kanji, the second of which (suzu) can be read as "rin". The creator mentioned on Twitter that Haru and Rin gave each other their nicknames when they were kids. All of the other Zodiac members (besides Yuki and Kyo) also have names based on the month of their animal. Hatsuharu for example means "new year" or "early spring," aka the month of the ox.
