Probably the earliest Goodwin reaction drop of all time, its still AM over here in the States. Thank you computer export...very cool!

Nathan

A lot in the show is understated, but I'm pretty sure that moment when Orb-Wolf looked up suddenly and said "thank you" was the moment the bear died. That's why Parona said she was in such a hurry to escape as quickly as possible.

It is the wrong youtube link by the way, that link goes to episode 2 and not 4 :)

Lol it was supposed to happen a lot earlier but I took a little "export nap" which did not go the way I planned

Jake White

Why would a nation risk war and the lives of its people, when they could just use diplomatic schemes and manipulation to acquire the exact same benefits without losing anyone? Lol not to mention that once you attack any of those villages in Ninnanah, all of the people instantly turn against you and you now have to either kill them, imprison them, or defeat them and draft them to your side. When they’re just taking 1 citizen a year under the guise of a ritual sacrifice, the people continue living their normal lives and don’t think too much about what you’re doing in the background. They’re just being pragmatic lol

Jake White

Yeah I always took that scene as a sign of Fushi thanking March for the bear’s sake, since it looks like he passed with a smile on his face once she removed the arrows

Athena

yay, I'm glad you got the connection of Fushi feeling Oniguma's pain. He learned the phrase that the man expressed when he was stabbed and connected the dots. Also repeating what @Nathan said, but unfortunately Oniguma has passed on as stated by Parona. Fushi said a final "thank you" for Oniguma since March helped heal his wounds.

Nick

I can't believe I'm 5 hours late to this one. Broke the streak by sleeping in Well, in any case I think I'll have good notes for this episode and the next one

Gdadder

Just so you know Alex your YouTube links to episode 2, not episode 4

Update: Your talk on mistakes and having a sense of gratitude was great. Haven't thought of it that way up until now, and that's because those moments carried a lot of baggage and disappointment in myself. It's hard to bounce back from that and see the reality of the situation. All of the mistakes I've made that I beat myself up over for years, could have been significantly worse. And that's not to excuse the mistakes, but rather me understanding that I was never at rock bottom and always had a chance to bounce back (despite what I may have thought). The entire talk around the 8:00 minute mark and onward is actually amazing. Reminds me a lot of when FMAB was tackling the nature of existence and the universe with Izumi, on that island. In a lot of ways, this show just feels like that entire episode premise but magnified. Even that opening and ED scene where it shows the orb just reflecting various realistic environments, before reality spinning around it with all the stars. There's something mystical about it. The entire Yanome system also reminds me a lot of the Dai Li in Ba Sing Se. "Maps? What maps? Ninannah doesn't exist!" "Oniguma? What Oniguma?" This prison escape reminds me of the boiling rock too, with Parona disguising as a guard. I also love how Fu-chan or wolf orb boy immortal associated "It hurts" with the sensation of pain he both felt and inflicted on someone else, and began saying it. "To your eternity, in this jail cell" LMAO Parona may be horrible at shooting arrows, but damn if she isn't determined and brave. Your ending prediction unfortunately won't come to fruition, because we saw orb wolf man boy immortal eat with proper etiquette in Yanome, avoid pain.

Brimmy

LMAO Malko(right?) is great XD that face was perfect XD this is such an interesting show i wish i'd binged it before u uploaded ep 2 @.@

Nick

As far as I know, introduced characters that have names (that we've also been told) are Parona, March, nameless boy (lol), Fu-chan/Fushi/Orb wolf immortal boy thing, Hyase (I think you spell it that way but probably wrong, she's the Yanome lady who poisoned them) Actually I think that's it for now. Oh and Oniguma the bear

MikeWest

Yeah I'm gonna have to side with you on this one. Immortality would be so worth it, it's not even a conversation. Dozens of Chinese Divine Emperors wouldn't die drinking mercury and licking frogs for something that was, "ehhh.. pretty good".

benj

The Malco appearence was much appreciated. Dude needs to learn to stop shitting in your apartment lmao, he's ridiculously cute though huskies are the best.

It seems like it's glitching out, because it's the link to episode 4 but still takes me to episode 2. But copying and pasting the link should work: https://youtu.be/XQuAmiCGqt4

Nick

The only downside imo would be having to watch so many people die before me. But I think the pros outweigh the cons. I could dedicate so much time to a certain craft I could never master as much in a regular human life span. There's so many possibilities being Immortal
