Can't wait to watch this

Nick

This show really went off the rails. It's been a wild ride watching it with the channel though, I can't even keep track of all the great moments

Anonymous

Episode 1: Omniman trains his son Episode 8: Omniman trains his son

Anonymous

Erwin Smith vs Omni-man, who would really win?

Stephen

I don't think omniman's plan involves having half of earth's population killed, that was just a viltrum thing

Anonymous

The train scene is one of the most brutal things I've ever seen in media, and man is the acting great in this episode from all sides but Mark especially. Also it was Mark getting his teeth knocked out that reminded Omni-Man of the baseball conversation.

a. tree

More like Omniman hits a train with Mark XD

Derrick C. Shields

While this is correct, I think the scary thing is that it could be less than, equal to, or way worse than that. I imagine Omni-Man's strat (if Mark had capitulated) would be "keep beating down the resistance until they give in. Whoever's left, whether that's 90%, 50% or 10%, gets to live in our utopia. YAY!"

Anonymous

If you're still looking for the new show, i do love Jujutsu Kaisen, but I've also seen Mob Psycho 100 mentioned a few times and that show is great (also has a great dub) and would love to see that on the channel.

Captain Shadow

His plan isn't to kill half of Earth's population, that's just what Viltrum did, his job is to either convince earth to join the empire, or force them to.

Anonymous

When watching the excessive violence Omni man commits in this last episode, it always seemed to me like he was trying to convince himself humans were worthless as much as he was trying to convince mark. Him admitting he was happy and the baseball flashback all prove to me that he really did change somewhat, and this battle with mark was an overcompensation to prove to himself he was still the perfect viltrumite soldier.

Jupiterninja

"Looks like I wasn't the only one who was lied to." Yeah Amber. Mark lying to you about his secret identity is exactly the same as his father lying to him for as long as he's been alive and then beating him to a pulp and murdering thousands. Great girlfriend. A+. Mark will come running back. The writers did Amber so dirty my god

Aura Y

The scenes between Mark and his father was amazing in the range of emotions and just the spectacle (even if some were incredibly hard to watch). Honestly all the moments between the main family were terrific and well-acted. Debbie is an incredibly strong person to keep things afloat while Mark is in a coma and the world is crumbling around her. I don't know if I could leave my mom alone like that seeing her suffering after all that she's been through. MVP goes to Debbie who unknowingly saved the world 17 years ago. I think it was a pretty strong finale, and I enjoyed the show, but it's certainly not my favorite out there. Tbh all the side characters outside the Grayson Family, Cecil and Eve didn't really connect with me. But I'm glad it was still reacted to and I'm glad plenty of others enjoyed too. Is there going to be a Q&A video for this series as well?

Francesca White

the worst thing to come from this show was contrarians on Twitter making posts about how Omniman is actually right. i mean people did the same thing with the Fire Nation in Avatar so i'm not surprised lol.

Anonymous

does everyone who isn't a viltrumite even deserve to breathe?

Anonymous

I'm so glad you agree that Amber was a terrible girlfriend.

Anonymous

I bet Erwin and Cecil would get along well.

Aura Y

Yeah probably the weakest part of the episode. I don't know who thought that scene would make things better. 2nd weakest scene goes to the awkward "cleaning the blood splatter" scene.

agoodwintv

For some reason the thought didn't occur to me. I think since it was so short and since there are more seasons coming, a Q&A seems lower priority than usual haha

Anonymous

What an amazing episode. The train scene is one of the few times in shows that I've been left visibly shocked and needed to pause for a breather. Following along with the AOT themes, Omni-Man truly believes that we "live in a cruel world" and the necessity of cruelty to establish a "stronger" society, which he saw growing up on Viltrum. Seeing Mark counter these ideas and trying to break through to Omni-Man is going to be another thing I'm super excited about with the upcoming seasons. Amber also made me despise her even more with this episode after she said "I guess we've both been lied to". I don't even understand how she has such a lack of empathy for what Mark went through to compare him not sharing his secret identity with her to Mark being beaten nearly to death by his father and having his entire perspective on his life and heritage turned on its feet. I hope they at least try to redeem Amber but it'll be way too difficult at this point.

a. tree

So idk if you've said, but what are you planning to watch next? And for future suggestions, if you're looking for a show that's a bit more fun/lighthearted that still has a lot to examine, I've just last week started watching Steven Universe from Cartoon Network and it really is a fantastic show — available on HBO Go and I think a few other platforms

Anonymous

Definitely would love to see you watch Code Geass and get your opinion on that show since it is such a good and deep anime

Nathan

Yeah no one likes Amber...also, did you notice the symbolism of Marks regular outfit disintegrating to reveal his superhero costume as he flew into space to meet Seth-Rogan-Cyclops?

Anonymous

loved this series and your reaction and thoughts on it! on the topic of trains, I really think you would enjoy the show Infinity Train from cartoon network/hbo. It's got a lot of really awesome themes that I'd love to hear your thoughts on. The seasons are 10 episodes long, and only 10 mins per episode so it wouldn't take a ton of time to watch. Just wanted to put the show on your radar, I'm excited for whatever you decide to watch next!

Trent_88

Damn strong season 1, super solid 8 episodes.

Nick

This is literally the best possible episode of any show you could bring up Infinity Train at

Nick

That makes a lot of sense, and also plays into the type of guy Omni man is. He doesn't face his emotions, he's a viltrumite. He's above these humans, he's above weak emotions. Instead of confronting why he might be wrong, he doubles down on his flawed ideals and continues beating his son to a pulp. Omni man is an extreme version of it but I think there are also a lot of people like that irl, who will double down without even considering other viewpoints or their own emotions.

Anonymous

I love how easy it is to just look at omni man as evil, but he isn’t human, so its hard to judge him as such. If you bring a wolf into your home and raise it as a dog, it may act like a dog until one day it just snaps. Omni man wasn't like a baby wolf either, but a wolf that lived its full life as a predator, there is no way that wolf is going to behave.

Kamolak

his floating around and asking for pizza after that huge event reminds me of how omniman also asked for pizza right after he killed the guardians.. kinda shows hes not so different.. especially with that picture flashback. Also amber knowing about it makes it more understandable to me, to be led on for 5 months and as Eve said "only tell people you trust" Amber would be thinking he's not serious about her if he would hide something so big about his life and that kept interfering with their relationship. I get how it can be annoying to people though.

agoodwintv

As far as Amber is concerned, I think if they get as far away as they can from the "you being a super hero means you don't love/respect me" thing, she's an interesting character with a lot of potential. Their early dialogues were so great and exciting and gave Amber a distinct personality. Getting away from the fighting and arguing will hopefully do the trick.

hays collins

Find it so funny to go from Tenzin JK Simmons to Omni Man JK Simmons. He’s such a good Voice Actor

Joe Kerr

PLEASEEEEEE react to To Your Eternity!!! I know you will love it so much and have so much to talk about from it, as it is ongoing youll most likely catch up but maybe having a weekly show might not be bad!

Brimmy

I've not had much to say about this show dunno why but i've been watching since u started it and its a pretty decent show imo

Jay Crigler

I think that last speech omni man gave at the end telling Mark he'll live long enough to watch "his world turned to dust" and asking him "what he has left after 500 year" I think that omni man talking to himself and Mark saying you dad was the best answer he could give.

Xylen

This was some great timing. Just yesterday, CinemaWins on youtube (great channel) uploaded a video about Omni-Man and this last episode in particular. I'd recommend checking it out, it's only about 7 minutes long: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zX1FepHCr1g

Anonymous

lol at 12:21 it appears zeke did not scream in time

Anonymous

Omniman: Okay, I don't really wanna kill my son, I gotta convince him to join me and betray him earth. This will be a delicate conversation. What should I do? Also Omniman: *Train*

Anonymous

Yeah. Juju is an easy bet for him cause is popular af now, but god damn, Mob Psycho is so so up his alley. The best part of his reactions are his thoughts, and although I think juju is cool and so, Mob has SO MUCH MORE substance. I’d love to hear everything he could say about the show...

Nick

There are only about 4 episodes left out of the 20 so he would definitely be caught up after the show ends I agree though, it'd be a cool Saturday slot show. Each episode has a lot to talk about imo

malik

If you haven't decided on a show I'm going to throw out Psycho Pass

Anonymous

There's actually a good reason why Omniman didn't have the baseball flashback earlier. When he punched Mark's teeth out, the gap in his teeth reminded him of kid Mark's tooth gap, triggering the memory. When it cuts back from the flashback, they cut from a closeup on kid Mark's face to a closeup of current Mark's face, highlighting their respective tooth gaps. I know your comment was made jokingly, it's just cool that the flashback was given a sensible physical context.

jdthebud

Agreed! I thought that visual trigger was done very well.

Anonymous

If you haven't decided on a show I will continue to advocate for Vinland Saga. Try and watch the pilot if you can! Also, I think the reason why Omni Man was disheartened at the beginning of the show when Mark got his powers was Omni Man himself had grown so accustomed to being human and he was enjoying it. He didn't mind picking up groceries for his wife or getting food from Berlin. He really became the quintessential family man for a while...but he knew it was just a temporary relief from his mission and Mark getting his powers signaled that his time as a human was coming to an end. Like you alluded to, I think there is a tiny semblance of a saving grace for Omni Man.

Ardawen

I think that Amber -still being so young- realized the weight of the secret Mark was keeping, when she saw the battle with Omniman. Before that, to her it was mostly "just" a lie. Not trying to say that that made it okay for her to respond in the way she did, but like I've said on the last episode, she is still 18.

Anonymous

If only the show tried to focus on Amber's immaturity in other areas or had her apologize, but instead she just kinda reappears and is in good graces with Mark after a line or two. At some point trying to justify shaky character writing with a characters age just gives the other young characters an excuse to make nonsensical decisions for the sake of drama. And I don't really want to watch Riverdale

Anonymous

If you haven’t made up your mind about what you want to watch next, I think re:zero would be great. I think it really suits your type of reactions with the ideological analysis you do, would be very interesting. Also just a great show.

William Abbott

Yea re zero would be a fun show to watch next, no spoilers people please. Also Eve > Amber

Brimmy

the re:zero fandom has like 2 spoilers and both are just jokes essentially that have been repeated since it aired its fine

Ardawen

Honestly, i think you'll love Haikyu

Ramon Cintron

You know whats crazy to me, MArk hit his father with everything he had and he did less damage to him then Red Rush by a country mile like damm the Guardians were strong

Nick

True, but Red Rush also has a major advantage by being able to go so incredibly fast. His individual punches lack the power of Mark's punch when he gives it his all, but he's so fast with delivering the punches that it practically doesn't matter
