Good thing that someone threw that perfectly good rope in the trash lmao.

Like Deku said at the end, it wasn’t stains quirk or anything, the idea was he just had such insane murderous intent he spooked everyone into being shook lol All in all I’m a little surprised how little you’ve talked about Stain and his motivations, the fact that All might inspired such a twisted mindset is so interesting

Aura Y

Damn didn't realize about the blonde correlation... makes me try to think of any other future blonde characters who may be the next "best characters" 🤔 Rewatching the show really reminds me how much I love these characters. They're all pretty distinct and nuanced

Aura Y

To be fair, I'm not sure the show has really expanded upon Stain's motivation outside "there are people who are not 'true heroes' and I'm doing my best to purge them" so far. He's using All-Might's name and actions to act as judge upon his own sense of justice I could be misremembering since I'm not fully rewatching alongside, but I feel like they'll go into it a bit more next ep.

Dying mid monologue is so embarrassing

agoodwintv

Yeah seriously, I love these characters more with each passing episode of this caliber haha

Brimmy

I remember the end of the Stain fight so vividly from when i first watched it mostly cuz i was very impressed that neither of them missed their hits XD they were very lucky in that regard but its just such a cool fight also reminder not a kids show LMAO (I typed this out before u realized but i wanna keep it because someone will get a laugh out of my mistake) Todoroki is their last name, like how Aizawa is Shota Aizawa and Todoroki is Shoto Todoroki. Literally imagine trying to spam spazz this and use first names but get Shoto and Shota mixed up lmao (Endeavors first name is Enji i don't know if its ever brought up in the anime) I get it guys Stain didn't die i just didn't remember that he lived cuz its been awhile XD ty for correcting meeeeee

I just watched the first episode again and I noticed that Bakugo's voice has really gone in a different direction since the first episode

Neubaufahrzeug

Villains will always exist so it's pointless to try to cull them but "fake heroes" are something he can Pressure out of the system in order to only have true heroes who can fight villains. Also, I think he would kill villains but only major villains who lack convictions like Shigaraki who is lashing out like a child.

Skyler Anderson

Two people just said that Stain died in these comments. He's not dead. He was knocked out from the shock of his lung being pierced. He gets put in prison lol

ComicalSkate

Todoroki is their last name. Shoto is our Todoroki's first name, while Endeavor's is Enji. It's just common in Japan to call people by their family name. Just like our protagonist is Izuku Midoriya with the hero name Deku but out of all three of those names Izuku is the one we hear the least. EDIT: Yeah I had a feeling you'd realize it quickly, but I still paused and typed this out anyways lol

Sage

I like this arc for our main characters. But Stain himself I feel like it's more telling than showing. Wish we got a flashback on what exactly he thinks is wrong with heroes.

Jo

To sum up Stain's ideaology a bit: Stain believes that the term "hero" is sacred, used only for the greatest of champions who embody things like self-sacrifice and the desire to help others. He holds All Might as the pinnacle of these things, and sees any deviation from them as a form of heresy. Heroes should not seek fame, they should not desire reward for their work. He believes that the term "hero" has been sullied by the multitudes of "false heroes" that do not embody those principals that he holds in such high regard, and as such seeks to cull those false heroes and leave only those worthy of the title.

Something I just noticed even though I've watched this episode I feel like 10 times, Is that Iida says "thank you" to Todoroki in the same way that Todoroki thanked Midoriya. I love the idea of this cycle of support and compassion.

Sean Silence

Starting off with -1,000,000 feels a little kind, but it's your show lol

BotheredAsh

Just want to point out the significance of Stain, who thinks all heroes except for All Might are false heroes, saving Deku. He already said that Deku might be worthy of being called a true hero, but for Stain to actually go out of his way to save him is just so telling. Also, no matter how much Endeavor could be a better father, he is a damn good hero and the #2 for a reason.

Sam B

I love the shot of Endeavor's feet melting footholds into the building as he runs up it. His quirk has obviously been extremely developed through immense dedication, but it is so good compared to other heroes, no wonder he is number 2.

agoodwintv

Yeah I think in this case I actually DO want long drawn out exposition haha

agoodwintv

Thanks for the explanation. The concerns are valid to me but his solution is fanatical, as Todoroki says.

agoodwintv

Yes! That's one of the things I like most about some of these heartfelt episodes. They create this chain of support and fill in each other's weak points

Anonymous

God damn! Despite All Might's voicer actor also being Vegeta's, Endeavor really fills that vegeta type role well. Strong and hard headed asshole lmao

Nick Deano

not gonna lie, Stain has an amazing intensity in his beliefs and drive. It reminds me of early AOT Eren, just pure unrelenting, paralyzing, furious focus and drive. He is obviously twisted but you cannot deny he is extremely motivated.

Anonymous

Todoroki is a family name. Endeavour’s name is enji. His son’s name is shoto.

The Bird of Hermes

Stain is one of my favorite characters in the whole series

DrowsyCody

As toph would say stain is right but he’s taking his ideology to far. It brings up a good question can you be a hero if your motivations aren’t 100% heroic if your only in it for the money, fame or popularity can you still be a good hero.

Anonymous

I like how even though Stain is "evil", he still went out of his way to save Deku because he sees him as a true hero.

malikparah

Alex when Endeavour was first introduced: i don't think he's as bad as Todoroki is making him out to be Alex now: So Endeavour's at -1million points

Simon

Stain didnt die. They said he was out cold. He just went unconscious, because of the piercing of his lung.

Nick Nangle

Notice how he says all might is the only worthy hero but then he gives deku a pass almost like he actually notices all mights qualities in deku he actually does believe his cause that heroes who are hypocrites such as endeavor must die
