This is one of my all-time favorite episodes in the show. The way they use the formation and smoke signals to create tension through the limited communication is brilliant. Not to mention the introduction of the Female Titan and, as you said, the focusing on characters outside of Erin and the more elite soldiers. This whole Expedition arc is where I really began to get hooked on and love the show haha

Welcome to (in my opinion) one of the best arcs of the entire show, although there are even better ones later on. Considering they control titans like giant suits, it’s fair to think the Titan will not look like the person The only person we’ve seen as a Titan is Eren Female Titan also has very similar hair style to Mikasa, even if it’s a different color

My favorite episode of season 1!! I remember being terrified of the Female Titan and how calculating it is. I got chills the first time watching it pull up Armin's hood. Also the fact that it doesn't behave like any regular titan -even though we know it's intelligent- was super unsettling. It was like a higher being that knew something we didn't and it was absolutely terrifying to my younger self.

The female titan was such a great idea. Totally flips the advantage it seems they have with Eren, and also suggests more of a conscious intent to the titans and what they're doing.

Dont confirm or deny anything. Also he has no reason to assume that all the Titan transformations follow the physical characteristics of everyone, we’ve only seen Eren so far and yes his Titan looks similar but one case isn’t enough to confirm it

I remember screeching when I thought Reiner died. What Jean said was true though, I completely forgot that he was (I think) ranked 2nd in the class too Also lmao did you call Jean Jeong Jeong or did I hear it wrong? Because it was hilarious and I laughed out loud for real, it caught me so off guard Then I pictured Jean and Jeong Jeong and they kind of look similar with their hairstyles Or have you been making this joke the whole time and I JUST caught it?
