The cadets finally choose their Hogwarts houses, with everyone going to Gryffindor, except Annie who chooses Slytherin.

Jean John is a true legend, its pretty impossible to choose a favorite from the whole young soldier gang between Sasha, Connie, Christa, and Jean. Also the Harry Potter reference is hilarious I didn't even think about that, the Military Police are very Slytherin-esque.

As a Game of Thrones fan, I can't help but draw parallels between the Survey Corp and the Night's Watch. They are treated poorly by the public. Almost no one wants to join. There are high death rates. They're facing huge threats to humanity. And those that do join feel more brave and honorable than any other person on the show.

Update: The reason Erwin knows about the basement is most likely because Pyxis told him. Pyxis mentioned it during his speech, or at least Eren told him. It’s reasonable to assume two military branch leaders would be sharing information on something that important That’s pretty much the explanation everyone has for it
