R'Mani Leavell

I really have nothing better to do with my life than to wait here for your reactions lol

hays collins

Didn’t Bradley give Ed his name Full metal alchemist. Why would Ed knowing he’s the bad guy he is continue to use that name. What do you think?

hays collins

Phew I thought that was envy pretending to be the doctors kids or something. It was hard to relax during that scene

benj

Haven't even watched yet but I'm so relieved to see happy Winry making food in the thumbnail. I need some feel good anime after starting Attack on Titan today and getting bad news about another one of my favorite shows today as well. edit: 2 mins in and its just a short Alphonse moment, I was mistaken...

Nick

It’s still practically a part of his identity now, whether it was given by Bradley or not. Probably also makes Ed feel bigger and more important. At the start of the show he did say “Fullmetal? I like that. It sounds nice and intimidating! I think that’ll suit me just fine!” So many people know him as the fullmetal alchemist. Even Roy often calls him Fullmetal Gotta keep up the brand identity

Lan fan and Fuu were going to get an auto mail mechanic not head back to xing. That’s why they put on civilian clothes, to blend in while they lay low

agoodwintv

Wow... It really could have been. Scary. Glad it wasn't though cause I like that scene.

malikparah

i've seen this show before and i still fell for the Dr Marcoh fakeout ... I completely forgot about that heartwarming moment with Dr Knox and his son. I love how in fma:b (minor) characters aren't just forgotten about when they've served their narrative purpose, they get fleshed out and referenced again and again. Also fun fact: Lan Fan's VA is the dub voice for Mikasa in AoT

I cant wait for The North!

I think Kimblee did what he did for insurance that they wouldn't kill him. He knew that having knowledge of the stone could bring him danger.

T-mo

*spoilers* If I'm not mistaken, this is the last we see of Dr. Knox, and it shows how much this series cares about its characters. It gives me a Le Mis vibe that every little action has an impact bigger than any individual can imagine. Also, his final scene being so happy and bittersweet, it gets me every time.

R'Mani Leavell

Idk if youre watching this for the first time with Alex, so if you are don’t read the rest of this comment. But Kimblee is just a psychopath. He killed them cause he wanted the stone, and he knew at some point he’ll be released from prison.

agoodwintv

Nice! Haha yeah the Doctor sequence caught me off guard. I mean just the fact that we got that at all was surprising. But also it was really good.

Hey, just wanted to let you know that your mic audio for this episode seems to be a bit wonky. It's much louder on the left-hand side than the right. I'm 90% sure it's not my headset that's acting up... I think... And yeah, I think your assessment of this episode is on point. It's a lot of positioning and setup for what is to come. See you in the next one! :)

Kamolak

it's really sad he struggles to even enjoy a drink with his family, really feel for that doctor.

Cabbage guy falling apart in the background ^^

I like that Goodwin is able to analyze the symbolism of 520 cens, acknowledged the maybe joke about Havoc slacking off too much, but completely missed the metaphor of Grumman polishing his wood

Nick

Yeah I can confirm too, with headphones the audio is just slightly different on one side, but it’s noticeable. Not the end of the world but definitely a good catch

agoodwintv

I was wondering when someone would notice haha. I fixed him a bit last night

Meruka Hinaru

I've watched FMAB at least 10 times and it's the first time I've heard about the 520 cents meaning. THANK YOU.

The Bird of Hermes

God I just can't stop loving Kimblee, he is such a great character
