that called back to Nina and Alexander man, it got me in my feels again lol. But overall this episode did bring a good point about Soren hating magic that even if Soren listens to his dad he probably has never been up to par with Claudia because his Dad and her share a common interest for black magic so that maybe why he doesn't know much about his plan/other hidden things(the mirror and the egg).

That episode of FMAB seems to have done some deep internal damage lol. I'm just seeing it everywhere. That makes sense. It might be one of those things where you don't have the aptitude for an art -> you don't get rewarded -> you lose interest -> you lose approval -> you become resentful of the art.
