Poor naga why couldn’t Lin just throw it once 🥺 I love the beifong kids wei and wing,huan, opal, bataar jr. huan is definitely my favorite followed by the twins and Opal. As much as I love kya she’s no master fighter she was trained as a master healer and is the 2nd best healer in the world. Sadly she had no chance of keeping zaheer pinned for more than a matter of seconds. Zaheer moving through the gates like a pro cause well he is a pro in the airbenders fighting style. Also his crush on guru laheama. And your crush on Varrick can finally Resume.

I know it’ll be easy to forget most of the Beifong grandkids other than Opal, but try to keep them all in mind, even Baatar Jr who you barely got to see! Just to prevent confusion later on, which has happened to some reactors I’ve seen.

I was looking forward to your reacting to this episode. First off, I thought it was so smart of you way back when we first met Lin to hypothesize that Toph may have been the exact opposite of her parents in regards to parenting style. And I knew you would enjoy seeing Varrick again, especially with his existential response to “why are you here?” I love that moment with Zaheer in Tenzin’s study. When little Ikki comes in it always reminds me of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. She looks so much like Cindy Lou Who catching the Grinch in that moment. And anytime this season that Zaheer quotes Guru Laheama is a good moment to me.

I have been so excited for you to get to this episode, and the next one. I knew you'd love the poem. I like a few others shall keep my opinions on the situation between Lin & Su quiet until the next episode. But I do think even in this episode people are being unfair to Lin trying to force her into a situation she's clearly uncomfortable with and just ignoring her feelings.

Can we have a Kya appreciation moment? She kinda has middle child syndrome, same as Ikki. But we can't ignore that she is the daughter of the greatest waterbender of her time and the avatar, not to mention that she led a whole life of her own while Aang was busy with Tenzin and Bumi was with the United Forces. It shouldn't be as surprising as it is that she held her own against Zaheer.

I love the character of Guru Laghima as like a mythical figure, it adds an element of history, and mysticism to the air nomad culture. I also love the family struggles between Lyn and Suyin. I'm also 100% behind the Bolin/Opal ship :)

Specially when we add that she probably never really fought an airbender considering . Actually the advantage Zaheer have over the whole world, people have never fough or encoutered an airbender at its full - non - monk - lifestyle.
