Now, if you paid attention in episode 2, Bolin kinda called the banishment twist! When Tonraq tells his story at the camp, Bolin exclaims: “Whoa! So you (points at Tonraq) were supposed to be chief, then you (points at Unalaq) became chief. No wonder you guys don't like each other!"

Poor Bolin. He deserves so much better :') Sometimes it really do be hard to get away from toxic people. I think it was pretty neat that they added Bolins experience with manipulation into this season. It really ties together this season's theme of deception and control, and how these heavy topics that take on many different forms.

what i hate about your videos is that they are so good and i watch them minutes after the upload, so now i have nothing to see and it feels lonely xd

It's never really explained fully in the show, but the "spirit bending" that Unalaq uses to calm the spirits is a form of healing. Obviously we know that healing is a sub-specialty of waterbending, and whenever we saw someone use it, the water glowed, like with spirit bending. Unalaq is using waterbending healing techniques to heal the imbalance of darkness within the spirits.
