Honestly, hearing your thoughts on this episode really affirm to me that you would love Naruto. It was Horikoshi’s main inspiration and MHA carries the lifeblood of Naruto. It even has some thematic overlap with Vinland Saga. It’s probably a long shot for this channel, but I just want to give my thoughts.

MHA was one of the first anime/manga I’d come across, and while I’ve always enjoyed it over the years, I never tire of hearing your input on this series. MHA isn’t my favorite show by any stretch of the imagination, but there are certain things about it that give me a feeling no other show does, and I feel like you do an amazing job of ascertaining those feelings. It’s episodes like this one that remind me why I keep coming back, and why I’ve got a bittersweet feeling knowing there’s only 3 more chapters to release. It’s probably the longest I’ve followed an ongoing piece of media, (other than HxH I guess but it’s hard to call barely 10 chapters a year ongoing) and it’s also the series that introduced me to the channel. I think you were around the big Invisible Girl roast during the room tours when I joined lol. Point being I love this series, despite the very weird fandom and far too many EndeavorxHawks works of fiction out there. I think it can be difficult to nail the overall positive messages this show has in a way that doesn’t feel cheap or contrived, yet MHA pretty consistently nails it in a way I hope to see more of. Rambled a bit here but I haven’t really gotten to express how I feel about this show in a while, and I kinda just kept typing. Can’t wait to get to enjoy the rest of this show!

"Set your brother ablaze", omg, stop! I haven't even started watching yet, and it's already great! No, but seriously, peak commentary, nothing to add. I love Shoto and his journey so much! But AfO just gets more hateable every damn time, god!

I think MHA really gets to the center of its ideas and really "understands" them. A lot of the messages and themes feel familiar when you see them, but they're explored with what feels like greater depth. It's like that feeling when you've "known" something your whole life and then one day the weight of what that is hits you and you're like "oh THAT'S what that really means."
