One thing I absolutely love about this arc is Youpi. He’s presented as the “brawn” of the royal guard, and even when they first entered the palace the narrator mentioned he “ceased all thought in order to deal with the threat before him.” But the longer the battle goes on, the more intelligence we get to see him possess. When it comes to this whole fight, he’s been EXTREMELY analytical, and been able to adapt his theories to how he fights on the fly. It’s so fascinating to watch him
