Ryanne

i’m about to combust bc i’m at work rn and it’ll be another 7 hours before i can watch her reaction

FullmetalNinja25

Faunus are Humans with Animal parts or traits, sometimes both.

Uncle Urdnot

Yo I really needed to hear Ruby’s message to Jaune. I’m getting married this weekend and I’m really feeling the weight of this

FullmetalNinja25

The next 2 Episodes are the final Episodes of Volume 1. In Volume 2 you'll see a noticeable jump in quality of life (including no more shadow people) as well as character movements.

BrightHeart

now the torturous week long wait for the next reaction begins

RibKoboldScout

I can't wait to see her reaction to the next episode, for no reason in particular...

jessie H

I forgot how much I loved Pyrrha in the first volume!

LikeCat

Meet our resident bunny girl Velvet Scarlettina. I cannot wait for the next two episodes.

cholvoq

These episodes are so cute imo!! I love seeing Jaune's character development, and he only gets more mature as the series continues! The next episode is the one I've been SO EXCITED for you to react to (for no reason at all) I cannot wait-

Rachel Mae

I really like Jaundice and Forever Fall I don’t think they deserve the hate they get. The leader talk between Jaune and Ruby is SO important and it gives us the first real look into the Faunus storyline that isn’t an easy to miss mention by the newscaster in the first chapter. I always wish someone told Cardin off when he was harassing Velvet though

Flufux

Fun fact...actually, maybe not that fun fact: Cardin Winchester (AKA the bully character) is named after Henry Beaufort, also known as the Cardinal of Winchester, who was the man who oversaw the trial that lead to Joan of Arc's execution. ...Hence why he's being a jerk to Jaune.

Thunter

I can’t get over how professor Oobleck, a super smart and intelligent character… is voiced by the same guy that does Caboose 😂

Aly Adams

Im not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet but the last episode of each Volume (except volumes 7 and 9) has an after credits scene so make sure you watch those!

Nektis Noir

Others have stated it but *definitely* watch through till the end of the credits on the Volume finales as every Volume except 7 and 9 have after-credits scenes/teases ^^

Andy

I only just realized recently what the connection is between all of the mythical figures team JNPR are based on. Pretty sneaky, sis

dainbramage7

How did I never put that together before now? Great reference! Thank you for sharing.

dainbramage7

It's so fun getting to see a new first time reactor to RWBY go through the series proper but it's also equally frustrating because you know there is so much you can't wait for them to see. I promise to be patient, lol.

Nektis Noir

To answer non-spoilery questions about Faunus by summarizing info that was given in this episode (cause I know Professor Oobleck talks really fast in that lecture and lore is easily missed), Faunus are a race of humanoid people each with one physical animalistic trait. They've been faced with a lot of racism, to the point they had to rise up and fight a whole war for the most basic of rights many years ago. There's an island off the coast of one of the kingdoms called Menagerie which is basically a safe haven outside the kingdoms with a dominantly Faunus population. Faunus racism is of course still very much a thing in present day and has led to more groups fighting for rights like the mentioned White Fang in this episode and the news report in episode 1 (can't give details on them just yet for spoiler reasons).

pneuma163

I really enjoyed how in sync you were in your reaction to the writing, sometimes literally saying the same thing as characters. It's a big credit to the writing of the show - the show definitely has its less articulate moments in my opinion like in a few episodes ago, but it's just generally so good and interesting (and I think primarily gets even better). Related to that, I enjoyed your reaction to Ruby and Jaune's conversation - it's a great reflection of who each of these characters are at this point in the story. And I may sound a bit snarky, but to fellow viewers and commenters: *now* Elijah knows about the existence of the Faunus and a little bit of their history and she knows that at least one character we've seen is a Faunus - the rabbit Faunus with the Aussie accent. That's what the show wants a viewer to know at this point. I'm so excited for your reaction to the next two episodes - don't miss the after credits scene in the volume's finale!

Verdant Crown

Pyrrha really is the best partner that Jaune could have asked for. At the time when these episodes were released, I was so angry with him and felt no sympathy because of how he treated her though. In hindsight it seems like a silly thing to be so upset over and I'm happy about how much he's grown, both as a character and as a fighter.

Kitsune Kokoro

Can we please avoid heavy hinting at future events? I'd rather see Elijah's natural reactions to things rather than have her expectations influenced by commentary ahead of time.

Dafydd Mac an Leigh

There's a manga bit where the rest of Velvet's team take Cardin out back and beat the crap out of him. >:)

Dafydd Mac an Leigh

We love our little Velveteen Rabbit :-D Also, now you know why I think of Todd in Nimona as the Cardin of the Institute

Jittercritter

Lots of lore on the Faunus this time, I forgot about that lol! Jaune’s little mini-arc here is actually kind of divisive: some people loved it and some people found it irritating/distracting from our main girls. Overall I like it, you definitely feel the age of the project though 😅 Also I didn’t notice Thrush (I think that’s Thrush? I can’t keep Cardin’s lackies straight) running into Yang the first time. The SOUND lmao, it was like he hit a brick wall! And he bounced backwards whereas Yang not only didn’t move, but instantly picked him up like he weighed nothing. Truly an inspiration! Also yeah, Blake and Pyrrha are probably the most socially aware/progressive members of the cast. I like to think that’s why Blake sat next to her in history class :)

demonic-myst

Faunus are humans with animal parts they common in this world and are descriminated against

Jason S

I really hope that the doggo rescue is left in the YT edit.

Bryan Forquer

I feel like Dr. Oobleck is a very underrated character, I always enjoy whenever he's on screen. Also I love everytime Blake isn't on screen Elijah is like 'where's Blake?" In a panic voice. It's OK girl, I love Blake too! Can't wait for next reaction! ❤️🤍🖤💛

Sere

Which leads to one of his best lines next volume. "The caboose! It'll kill us all!" Knowing that RvB connection makes it all the more hilarious

bloodyshadow1

while people are still devisive, I think part of it was when it was airing, Jaune's arc took 4 weeks to complete due to the short length of the first season's eps. There's also the fact that he had an arc before all the main girls of rwby did. I have no issues with the eps, but I can see how it could get annoying when it was airing

LikeCat

I should avoid the Volume 2 one because its now not a ,,canon" one.

TheInnerWill

Even today, years later I have got to ask, how did pre-volume 1 Jaune, get his hands on the paperwork to get into Beacon.

Nektis Noir

This is all in the episode she watched, Phoenix. What are you talking about?

demonic-myst

Its literaly shown and implied and stated throughout the episodes allready watched learn what that word even means

LaviPastelQueen

I'm excited to see these episodes later tonight ❤

{L} Frances

Just as far as Title Cards go for videos, in the future, when you're only reacting to two episodes per video, you could do the [Title 1]/[Title 2] thing you did with the Amphibia reactions. That way it's not just numbers up on the visual.

Maya Pilkey

The faunus are human animal hybrids that were enslaved for thousands of years. They only recently gained their freedom, and they have been given a teeny tiny island to live on. Also every character is based on a fairy tale, myth, legend, religion, and or a historical person. Team JNPR is made up of gender bent versions of characters from mythology that were crossdressers and or gender fluid

Wild Game Hunter

She need to check out the soundtrack for the 4 trailers and volume 1 when she finishes the songs give iner dialog in the lyrics.
