This wonderfully bizarre late-modern home is one of the rare, strange cases that ends up making its way through the McMansion Hell search filter. An odd cross between an A-frame and a ranch, this house is full of unique surprises.

Built in 1979, it is larger than standard ranches, and exhibits several late-70s features that would end up evolving into the luxury tropes of the 1980s, and ultimately the bona fide McMansion, including a "two story" foyer, complete with chandelier, formal dining room, two story great room, and sweeping master bath. The interior is certainly dated, but in a way that offers a rare snapshot of 1970s ideas of luxury.

Sometimes a house is so strange it's good. You know, kind of like Weird Twitter, absurdist memes, and David Lynch.

Reminds me of a friend's house back in the 1980s in CT. Had a second floor balcony/catwalk/hallway thing just like this place. He used to practice archery shooting from one end of the catwalk to the other into his bedroom.
