Spent most of the day working on the painting for April, but had a little time at the end of the day after getting everything done I wanted to, and fiddled around with the fox some more. Touched up her fur pattern a bit; dialed back on the noise just a little so she's not quite so visually loud, and manually tweaked the pattern to adjust contrast and colours until it felt kinda right. I think she's in a pretty good place now! Tossed in a few accessories to add some further spice to her as well. I think she's turning out quite nicely!  If you feel so inclined, lemme know what you think of the changes!

Anyway, time for a name. Here's the ones that caught my attention the most; it's up to you folks to narrow it down to a winner!

They're all so good! wait, where's my suggestion? Fred is missing.

I know you're trollin', but your suggestion literally is there, so shut up. xD

I love the pricings that were added! While I think Marbel does fit the coat it basically forces me to imagine her as my counter top so I still prefer Cinder 😂

I'm kinda into Aurora and Luna myself, but I will defer to the wisdom of the crowd. :P

I do like those names too, but no one can replace the Luna, you know? And my best friend's wife's name is Aurora so yeesh 😂

Steve

I really not feeling the piercings, especially the nipple piercings. I never understood the point, really felt like they would be painful and catch on stuff. That sash? Skirt? Waist covering? could be a more vibrant color too, white over white doesn't pop much. I still really like that character otherwise though.

Ooh, I really love the changes you made to the coat pattern. But I'm with Steve on the nipple piercings - just not feeling them.

I agree the sash could be a little brighter. Also, it may be the way she's standing, but her breasts seem a little...cockeyed. One is pointing up and the other pointing down. Kinda 96

ruaidri

Yeah, that's just the pose being weird, when I make the official ref sheet I'll be sure to pose her a little more carefully. :P

ruaidri

Interesting! I was a little iffy on them myself honestly, so they may disappear... we'll see!

Aurora is gorgeous! I don't usually argue against the Greater Will, but it seems to me that straight up calling her Marble feels a bit too on-the-snoot as they say! Model thoughts: the bat shape translated real nicely! I think her fur pattern could use just a little more fur-streakiness to accentuate the "this is fur" aspect of the texture. Or maybe a brightening of the inner thighs and belly area, whatever that's called? More of a pure white? *shrug* Anyway, something like that. You know what you're doing way more than I do, lol. Right now she just looks like literal actual stone to my eyes. Aside from the real fluffy bits of course!

The one thing I would be concerned about is contrasting outlines. If, for example, her arm were in front of her torso, it could be hard to "read" the pose, as the outlines of the foreground (arm in this example) will be heavily broken up by what amounts to "dazzle camouflage". Posing and lighting will be challenging to make any such pose "read". I have confidence you'll make it work though!

Yeah, I totally agree about „marble“ being a bit too literal. I suggested Carrara in the last post, like Carrara marble, but that doesn’t seem to have made the cut, and Luna, because Luna marble is a synonym for Carrara. But I would’ve preferred the former, Luna is a little close to Loona I think. Oh well.

Just didn't grab me for some reason. :P I'm sure it sounds lovely when said by a native, but in my clumsy north american accent the name feels kinda clunky and awkward to pronounce.
