So much for what I wanted to talk about. Gotta talk about more scumbags in the videogame workplace. This time, a story about Doom Eternal, a stressed composer, and a bitter feud with an executive producer.

At this point, I'm wondering why anyone works for the games industry. Everyone but the execs are getting screwed. Why bother?

One thing I've found as a non-argument in Bethesda's statement is that the people in question have received harassment and abuse. I want to be clear: harassment, abuse and threats are disgusting. Where they occur, whoever does them, they should be investigated and charged where harm was intended. But if there's one thing I've learned, if a person makes public allegations like the composer, then it's very likely that the person making those allegations are going to receive a similar amount of hate. As with JK Rowling, it's very much trying to combine two very different issues to add to their argument. Receiving harassment doesn't dismiss valid criticism of people.

So, I have a slightly more local-interest question given Bethesda's newer statement Could we be getting an updated Bethesda Is Bethetic Dance?
